I have to say that Bell's little cameo's are looking better and better, I know he was offside yesterday, but that was the finish of a much more experienced striker. His positioning and movement brought a different dimension to us and he worked well with Tanner.

For those concerned about his physique, he wasn't phased by their physical defenders either.

Agreed. I thought the Blackburn defence looked a bit panicky after Bell came on.

    Watching highlights:

    1) It's pen for me, goes through back of Nahki and made no contact with the ball with his left foot:

    2) Not scientific but if Bell is offside, it's very close but probably off, perhaps even just his upper body:

Up until now, I had been sure that Bell was (just) offside. But from this photo it looks like the defender at the top of the picture, is playing him on.

Thought Tanner was fantastic today in dealing with Brereton Diaz. Rarely got beat and was aggressive and tight to him.

Bell has to start next game over Sykes. Sykes had some nice touches but thought he was poor again and doesn't get at his man enough.

Bell was a gnat’s eyelash away from scoring 2 in 2. Would have been 2 goals from about 25 minutes of pitch time. I thought Blackburn looked much more panicky after Master Bell came on.

I went to that game ‘under cover’. Our friend at work was a Wycombe fan and also being female, she didn’t feel safe going to the Swamp on her own so wanted some company. Me and my good buddy (another poster on here) went and kept our mouths very much shut,  but we had a great time ? I swear one of Wycombe’s goals was scored by someone with one boot but could be hallucinating. Anyway, afterwards was quite hairy as there were a few City fans there that were much more open about their allegiances shall we say, and obviously it was City's fault that they got relegated, but we managed to get out in one piece eventually.  Happy days.

I used to work for a company in Wycombe so knew a fair few WW fans. I remember one telling me when Wycombe scored, they knew there were City fans in their end because ‘they were FAR too excited when we scored’ ?

This would have been the attitude if the game were against a team we were expected not to get a result against. We needed a solid win against the bottom team that would show our intent to snap out of our malaise and show we can at least flirt with promotion.

True, but Cov are probs only bottom because they have played two games less than everyone else.
