Surely a club of their standing with a manager the like of which football has never seen before would have a queue of players beating at the tent flaps begging to sign for da famuzzzz quarters?

Twitter is unreliable as a ‘source’ with loads of wild speculation and complete bollocks. There’s only one 100% reliable way of guaranteeing that a player has signed for City - does anyone know what that is?………..

Have they not done the “pick THREE” thing just the other day/last week? Think there could be something in this……whether that be Joe Bryan or just signing number 3 of the window (inclined to think it’s the latter & it will be Roberts).
Yes. Identical tweet went approx 8 days ago.

I remember Bert Tann (the real one), but couldn't place Herbert, probably because he reported on Rovers - I wouldn't have been interested.
About the same time, the Post had Peter Godsiff reporting on City and Bruce somebody? being the Rovers guy.

Too many of those white garden chairs they are fond of ?
Who's Herbert Gillam ?
Herbert (Herbie) Gillam was a local reporter, specialising on Rovers from way back in the day.
Gillam would have regularly interviewed Rovers manager Bert Tann, who is referencing him here.

Was he the fire chief's favourite? All the rest called by surname and he gets his full name called .It was only when I counted the Firemen I realised that there were only 6.
No, it was to distinguish him from his brother Seth McGrew who was on Blue Watch

Though the reportedly have to pay a staggering £19m a quarter to repay a loan from Macquarie to 2025/26 so their parachute payments are already spent.
Yes, I read that Leicester’s parachute payments would be swallowed up servicing loans.

Well the first line of that ‘article’ is…
”Bristol Rovers were impressive this season”, they kind of lost me after that.
