  1. As Danny Baker once stated, "they are pathological liars".
  2. This coming from the fans who lean over the fencing to punch opposition players, like recently at non league. And in the match they refer to JJ being spat at, poor old Andy Llewellyn was covered in gob and punched in the face. An even dirtier pot and kettle spring to mind from that bunch of conning scum, family club, my arse.
  3. Well I'll kidee, Bristolian for, Wael Al Qaudi.
  4. I have it on good authority that the planned redevelopment of the rugby ground and, the new development of the colony training facility, won't be announced just yet as, "these things take time". Having not read most of the Bristol Rovers Evening Post reports, on that club. Could someone update me on the latest star player coming through the ranks that the Bristol Rovers Evening Post/propaganda machine, are going to big up and con some unsuspecting club into parting with a shedload of cash, to enable them to pay their owners a bit more interest.
  5. Ok Bert. What does Mr Karim Mardam-Bey for Bristol Rovers in his London office? Probably a brother in law or Uncle.
  6. You're correct, I meant to say their respective achievements.
  7. I agree about it being what you've done for your club. My reference was to his time spent in the lower leagues, with less media attention, so less chance of him being known. As for legends, while with that pile of shyte, he managed to be a part of a team that won two promotions, was also part of a team that was relegated and, spent four years staying in the same division. So, he's in credit to being one part of a promotion team, hardly the stuff of legends. Then you compare him to Terry Cooper, who played for us in the first division of the English league, managed us in the fourth tier while gaining promotion and, managed in the third tier and, took us to our first ever Wembley final, winning our first trophy. At the time, a marvelous achievement, given the restrictions placed on his management, = Legend.
  8. Like wise Major. I had to google him (heard he likes that). Evidently he's been with them for seven seasons and made 318 appearances, Sadly four of those seasons were in the fourth tier of English football, one season was spent outside the English league system and the last two, at level three of the English league system. So, it's no wonder people haven't heard of him, But, to them, he's a "Legend".
  9. Mr Singh is one of my long standing customers, a very nice man from Kingsdown.
  10. Forty two years since they had an average attendance over 10,000, which was 10,022 in 1976. http://european-football-statistics.co.uk/attnclub/brir.htm
  11. Rovers steal the rugby ground and the rugby club go bankrupt, = Rovers are the saviours of the rugby club.
  12. To be fair, I think your attendances are quite good. They're almost as good as in 1966 when you averaged 9,000. They then increased slightly over the next few years and ten years later was the last time you averaged 10,000, that was 44 years ago. Oh yes, according to BRFC, your capacity is 12,011. Get your facts right and fek off.
  13. What they could do is, form a new company with the rugby club where they both have ownership of 50% of the new company and rugby ground. They could then have a clause where, if either of the partners go into administration the other partner could buy out the other for a figure of what? shall we say £10.000, that would seem a fair price. Then the other partner could own the ground and charge the cuckoos a rent for it's use. The rugby club would then be seen as the heroes, saving BRFC from going out of business completely and into oblivion. And everyone is happy, as it's a fair thing to do, Hahahahahahahahaha.
  14. was that before or after the earthquake?
  15. Strangely, this hasn't been reported in the local press, as yet. I'm sure it will get front page eventually, with some thorough investigative journalism the Post are renowned for regarding BRFC and it's owners.
  16. “You cause me to weep, you cause me to mourn, you cause me to steal the home that's yourn”
  17. Application form of course, they have a choice of two. 1. Application to develop a new training facility at "the colonies". They've employed the people who can fill in the application, they just haven't given them the information, "it takes a long time". 2. Application to redevelop the rugby ground, stand by stand. They have no design ideas yet, as, "it takes a long time".
  18. I agree there are always people who will attend for a day out, I've been to every Wembley match and the Millennium but, apart from taking three kids to the Freight Rover in 87 (two still go), I've honestly never come across an attendee who never went to the football on a regular basis, by regular, I mean at least annually or, a lapsed supporter. Even a modest crowd of 7-9k attending the dark side will be made up of about 12k-15k who attend regularly, 4k every match, 2k every other match 2k every 3 matches etc, not scientific I know but, it is in that region. I remember back when I think it was Davidson was chairman, possibly Sexton as CEO, he claimed our supporter base at that time was in the region of 20k who regularly attended, they'd done a calculation based on their information, yet our average was less than 15k. What I was trying to highlight in my post was that, their supporters would have targeted that match to try and emphasise their massive fan base, by inviting all an sundry to tag along.
  19. I think people also have to remember the make up of any "support" taken to Wembley. For their club, it is an opportunity to show the world how much better than BCFC they truly are, they will treat this as a must do better than the shyte and pull out all the stops, telling the world and his dog that if you're a true gas head you'll be going to Wembley. I've seen the news reports, the stories and accompanying pictures. Every member of their family attended to have a great day out. I'd like to see a breakdown of tickets sold as, there were hundreds of pictures with grannies, grandfathers, young boys and girls, wives, all people that normally would not attend, out for a jolly. I know this happens to a degree with all clubs for these type of matches but, the make up of their support is unusually high in terms of those represented in the pictures and news reports and the reality is that, after all these one time attendees had "done their duty", when it came to the most important match in their history, barely 25k bothered to turn up. That in reality, is the whole of their support base rallying together, whilst leaving the once in a lifetime attendees, back in Bristol. I'd estimate that the majority who went for their biggest following, have only ever attended the one game. Can anyone provide details of adult, concessions and juvenile sales, or a comparison in revenue, based on ticket prices? It pisses me right off hearing this BS all the time.
  20. Then, through the summer months, they can watch it grow.
  21. Was that £10k used to buy a player? Francis had a sell on clause for players, possibly down to his investment. How is that good for the club, if it's in the personal interest of the manager to sell the players? A similar thing happened with Barry Hayles, He was bought for £225k, with the directors lending the money for the purchase. They had a sell on clause giving them 50% of any profit. He was sold for £2.225m, the initial loan was paid back, the rest was divided between the directors (probably just two) and the club, nice profit for the directors. They've always lined their pockets while running that club.
