  1. Yes. Dare I say it, you are spot on. Is it significant that Mr Lansdown made the statement, possibly. Does it matter, no, as long as Mr Pearson isn’t handing in his resignation. None of us know if we will buy/bring in anyone by EO August but, if we have a chance in January what we do know is there is wedge available!
  2. I certainly agree it does feel same old with outgoings, but that is life for anyone that isn’t be connected with the European Super League. Bornemouth will sell on further up the food chain and nose around our players again in the future. What are they averaging one a year right now. Our failure really hasn’t been our transfer policy as it’s pretty much the same as most clubs, its been the failure to bring in staff and management with sustained ability to keep us competitive. We have been in the third division as long as we’ve been in the second as much if not more over the last 43 years. However there are 20 clubs I can think of, that are of a similar stature to us that have played Premier League football selling assets when they have too My personal opinion is Pearson knows what he’s doing at this level, then compare that with LJ, SOD, McI, Mr Millen or even GJ. One of them has a track record of doing the business with similar sized clubs, which the board new CEO and majority shareholder know, particularly as they are all culpable ( maybe not the new CEO) for the last five years of bollox ON THE FIELD! Yes I think you are right! Although I can not help but think he’s in a board meeting, regarding next steps. I can just see @Badger and Steve on a zoom call right now!
  3. Honestly do you think Webster, Brownhill, Kelly, Semenyo and now It seems Scott could have been kept once Premier League interest comes in. We can not pay the wages that are on offer and making them stay devalues them possibly to zero if they get the footballing equivalent of the hump and run out their contract like Massengo. Brentford is the model City are now effectively following and have been for a while. The problem we had was LJ would spend all the money coming in on clubs in the bag, unfortunately there were nearly all Top Flights with the occasional Callaway. Pearson is clearly a little miffed that Scott is seemingly on his way, (with two years left) but he will get over it, he did at Leicester. The difference now is we have actually a way of doing things, we are not just talking about DNA. AD had years to develop a side, Pearson has had a whole lot less time, but we continue to bring through players as above, it’s just a matter of spending it well
  4. I think he did take the risk. He backed his boy LJ and Ashton with gob loads of money and they flushed it down the shitter. SL carry’s the can for that debacle. So now he has really turned his mind to finding a team through the academy. An option that has less effect on FFP and has wider benefits for the community. Pearson was constrained by spending but is building a team and allowing our kids to come through. We played a 17 year old last night just another off a production line of talent. I am optimistic We are going to be competitive in the top 10 this season !
  5. The fact is we don’t all remember the AG 8. Over 55s do, but to the majority it’s anecdotal supported by some pictures and the occasional ritual wheeling out of David Rogers etc. I am as disappointed as the next girl when we don’t do well, but as you know the last side that achieved promotion to the big league was built over a quite considerable period. For me the comparisons are clear. I personally think if Cotterill and SL hadn’t have fallen out we would be much further along. But that’s history now. We had to sell Garland, Galley, Spiring among others to progress the greater good, so here we go again. Im personally confident we will be competitive this season. We have goals in us that’s for sure.
  6. We only know what we’ve read on a tweet, anecdotal comments on here and probably a load more press based upon that tomorrow morning. Supporters/no one knows what we got on any level outside of what information the clubs have agreed gets into the public domain
  7. Guys I’m having trouble getting the draw overseas. Can someone put the draw here for me. Thanks RO
  8. Mr Pearson was sounding a bit miffed prematch that the player himself (with the help of @Bcfcshags)let that out on social media before the club know the extent of the injury.
  9. We will see what can be done if Scott passes his medical!
  10. I was a member of their forum since Andi Weimann signed for us. The handle One Andy Weimann was twigged eventually!
  11. Bless you mate. I don’t think some understand banned users trying to come back as someone else! If you are banned you can not post seems a pretty simple rule. I should know Derby County fans forum banned me! ? Thanks for your service!
  12. They have always offered for cup ties previously, however the past is not necessarily a guide to the future Talk shite have one of the other games but are normally good at keeping up to date
  13. The transfer window doesn’t close for over three weeks. Anything can still happen as far as transfers are concerned

    Tommy Conway

Looks like Sam Nakhi Mark Harry Andi and a couple from theU21s will all get some extra game time.
  15. I seem to remember last season they were allowed to broadcast on the internet (overseas) for early league cup ties. However BCTV SHOULD have audio!
  16. Yup Wed. Eardun does have a point there. We may get Radio Brizz direct as an option

    Vyner

I think it’s a matter of how similar the injuries are. Naismith has an illness, Benerous is an ACL etc. But I agree we appear to keep having more players out than the average. Perhaps one of stats boys can make an assessment? @Davefevs ? As for the overall performance obviously I have commented up the thread. But we ground out a point while being a bit pony in most areas so there is plenty of upside! Mind you if you had asked me at ht and Ft my mouth would have been/was full of expletives! ?

    Vyner

We were overworked defensively from when we scored. Our ball retention was rubbish, we didn’t compete with their running and had real problems clearing the ball and when we did couldn’t maintain it. The upside of this was Vyner and Dickie got to play together competitively and did very well. Their goal, although earned on the balance of play, was a clear handball, which must have been gutting for the pair of them!!
  19. I can report a Bristol City flag was quite clearly shown on the US coverage (FS1)
  20. Nigeria were excellent all over the pitch. They are a poacher short of being contenders. They will be taken seriously in future for sure No team wins a World Cup without a little luck. Teams develop into tournaments. England are as solid as anyone at the back, so we move on!
  21. I think you have a real point there, with the slowing down.
  22. They way some say ‘it worked for me’ makes me laugh. It can read like if it didn’t work for you you’re the problem. I see there was problems with Android and quite a few update/.releases have been made to the ticket sales portions. Hopefully it will all get sorted!
