And we will be there buying our season tickets for next season.  No matter what.

    Not a ******* chance

29 years - and that’s it for me for now. Its a waste of my money and my time

It doesn’t help his communication style is drier than a rusk so no harm putting these out to the other coaches but maybe he wanted to front it up

We couldn’t ask for better back to back home games so let’s hope the lessons have been learnt, players come out firing and we win both.

Whilst there’s still 12 games to go, I think the Cardiff and Swansea games will set so much of the tone until the end of the season re performances, fans reactions to him, players, contracts, season ticket sales, on the day payers and so on.

    Roll on 1230 Saturday….

You say that - but the West Ham and Southampton games should have done that . Then look at the absolute shite Lee Johnson Mk 2 and the team dished up

We could go out and batter Cardiff and Swansea - yet I still have zero confidence that this coach and team can put in a strong, consistent end to the season

    Only in recent months?

First time you’re looking forward to being sold?

Seriously, Lansdown lost touch years ago. McInnes wasn’t the correct replacement, brought in a load of overpaid, average players and we got relegated. Lee Johnson was here for far too long and was allowed to spend far too much money on average players. A very bloated squad. Lansdown had absolutely no grip on anything and look where we ended up. A financial shambles.

Steve Cotterill wasn’t his choice and look how that went. We brought in the correct players, played unbelievable football, passion amongst the fanbase and absolutely romped league 1. No credit to Lansdown for that.

The one person who was doing well on a nothing budget, trimmed the wage bill, brought a bit of positivity with it, experienced at managing at this level, has been sacked. Purely because Lansdown cannot deal with anybody who dare say ‘no’ to him. He does not know how to have challenging conversations with managers. Yes men only I’m afraid.

As long as Lansdown is at the helm, this club will be a mediocre, unattractive club. Almost a laughing stock to other clubs and fans. The Lansdown/Bristol Sport/cosy, soft image is the sole reason I haven’t been in the last 3 years. I absolutely love Bristol City but I hate the club we have become.

This is exactly where I am with this club and how I feel. I’m sure there are many more of us to

A lot of people on here attack me whenever I say it but this club will continue to be also-rans as long as the Lansdowns own it.

The Lansdowns are losers in the football world. Always have been

Could we though? What so called bigger names came out as being linked, or applied, or wanted the position. Manning has to start somewhere, and clearly was considered the best of the younger brigade of coach we wanted to employ. It's alright saying we could have done better, so name who we could have hired who was better, and fit the remit the club wanted?

    What’s the clubs remit?

I see it as ‘employ someone who just says yes all the time because they are grateful to get an opportunity that’s unlikely they would get elsewhere in this league’

He was doing well there by all accounts, until he lost his best players (Twine & co)

Who do you think would have been a better choice?

He had the squad built by Russell Martin - rode that wave, then ultimately got sacked

So who would you have wanted? it’s all very well saying you wanted NP out (as I did) and all very well saying Manning is the wrong choice but who would of been your choice, come on I need another laugh to go with the Lampard shout

Who said Lampard? Certainly not me

And as I mentioned previously - it’s irrelevant who I would have liked / wanted.

The point I’m making is - we could have done better than someone who failed with MK Dons and has done nothing in the game to warrant the job he currently resides in

Right, I’d argue someone with “more experience” would most likely be someone who had failed somewhere else.
And if they haven’t failed elsewhere, why would they come here?

I like the manning and Johnson appointments. Because it’s giving someone on the way up a chance. Much more suited to a club like ours.

Manning failed somewhere else . He failed at Mk Dons (if we go by your logic)

Right, so who would you have wanted?

It’s completely irrelevant who I would have wanted - but we should have been aiming for someone with more experience than we got. The reality is, anyone worth half their salt at this level wouldn’t entertain the thought of coming here because the way the club is ran is amateurish
