  1. I actually really enjoyed the game. I thought Inter's press was very good and it really disrupted Rodri and Gundogan in the first half. I've never seen them lose the ball so much. I think you could tell it was a City team feeling the pressure, but from an England perspective I'm happy for those lads to finally get over the line in a massive final (after the Euro loss). Can only be good for the national team. I enjoyed Grealish's interview after, I like how raw he is compared the usual media trained stuff. He's grown on me over the last few years, he's a lad whos worked his way up to the top, have to admire that even if I think he was over priced.
  2. This is a poor argument. £50m for Haaland (due to a release clause) but what's his wages? Over £300k a week apparently. De Bruyne even more than that. Foden up there too. £100m for Grealish was, and still looks to be, way over the top. Another on massive wages. Transfer fees wise they have been savvy at times, but more than made up for in wages. Disagree, the "elite" (and most proper fans) hate that they've basically got the unlimited money cheat codes on. The fans deserve it, as happy for them as I was the West Ham fans. Must be an incredible feeling.
  3. He was my first thought. 86 games in 14 years according to the article I just read. Incredible. Begs another question, who has the most silverware for the least appearences? Scott Carson just picked up his 2nd CL winners medal after being in the Liverpool squad in 2005 (at the same stadium incidentally)
  4. I dont trust them not to ruin a purple and lime combo, so would be happy with a white/black combo
  5. Not sure I agree this is a "major" european trophy.
  6. Firstly let me say, this is completely idiotic and disgraceful if aimed at Hillsborough - which is obviously most likely. However, it’s going to be incredibly hard to prove it isn’t referring to Liverpool’s points tally that wasn’t enough to win them the league. Also turns out this guy has previous, his name is James White and a Britain First activist with assault and arson on his record.
  7. Exactly that, he was impeded with contact. There’s an argument he was trying to plant his foot and roll him maybe. I’m sure a similar thing happened recently, maybe even to De Bruyne as he went to kick the ball, and jt wasnt given.
  8. That is true, I’ve always loved Aguero. How do you judge intent?
  9. Why does it need to be careless, reckless or dangerous to be a penalty?
  10. Both had 3pm kick offs in the last few weeks to be fair Must have forgotten about Sane then? Sure he was goading the City fans when he scored / City scored
  11. Saw someone at the weekend with an O'Neils rugby shirt and quality looked pretty good to be fair so it's in their wheelhouse.
  12. Thanks, I missed the group games and as I say I was trying to stay awake so wasn't paying as much attention. I was just hoping to see the Scott that we saw at City all season but didn't really get that... now I understand why
  13. I read it, I could ask if you mean the Premiership or the Premier League. Sorry I'm guessing you meant it's harder since the Premier League than before the rebrand - I thought you meant in recent years it's got harder. Mis-read on my part. Although I made the flippant comment about the name change, I would agree with your point that it's a different ball game especially since the parachute payments and additional European places (meaning more clubs have more exposure to Europe so even more money in sponsorship etc) It's also led teams to make huge gambles on getting to the top division because even getting there and coming straight back down is worth 100s of millions. That makes it harder to gain promotion now. I guess I'm also in the age range where I was born just before the Premier League formed, so the statement is almost "not been in the top flight in my lifetime" so do still share the sentiment that it's a shame. I just don't like the washing out of records before the Premier League rebrand.
  14. Weird you say that after a season where all 3 teams stayed up Over the last few seasons teams have not only survived but done very well, Fulham , Brentford, leeds, Sheff U and Wolves all done well after staying up. Also look at Brighton now. Over half the teams coming up in the last 4 years have stayed up.
  15. I thought he was poor last night, rarely looked to get on the ball in the bits I watched (struggled to stay awake mind so didn't see it all) Pitch was dreadful and not sure how that handball was given. Some much needed rest now though for Scott.
  16. We’ve played in the top flight, nothing story. Football didn’t start in 1992
  17. Didn’t they break FFP to get out of the championship? Karma
  18. Much better GD, Everton would be down
  19. So I'm very late to this Where has this story come from? Have we had an OTIB "ITK confirmation" or is it just a link because he's potentially unhappy and Bristol lad coming home? How realistic is this do we think?
  20. Both sets of fans deserve it for the turmoil they've been through over the last few years. Luton with their points deduction and their foray into non-league. Coventry for the issues with their owners and not having a home for a couple of seasons was it? Even start of this season they couldn't play at home because of the pitch and the Rugby.
  21. Had Radio 1 on all day at work and haven't really heard it mentioned in all honesty! We're having a party, though I'm running out of time to write a quiz, might just ask ChatGPT to do it for me Ah but it will pay for itself in tourism and income... that's the argument over last weekend Well maybe like nursing and care we'd get the people who genuinely want to do the job then
  22. City feed isn’t working for me but QPR is, albeit like watching through a blurred lense! No extra time today
  23. The problem is these days people take to Twitter to moan, and often deliberately just to wind people up or make tongue-in-cheek faux offence remarks - then these online publications write articles and quote tweets as their source.
  24. Well you’ll have to imagine, because it doesn’t seem like many, if any did? Just another typical story to stoke the divide again, and people jump at the opportunity to let us know what they think about “those” people, as imaginary as they may be.
