  1. Ha ha!! There’s only one OS!! What’s a “potential” clash?!
  2. Seriously, don’t honestly know. It’s certainly the case that recovery times is seen as being important enough to move games - often happens over Easter. I suppose the other possibility is that the two clubs may have agreed it, but for different reasons. I suspect we’ll never know: it’s like transfer fees and injuries nowadays, clubs never seem to give any detail.
  3. Or maybe the clubs just agreed to switch. That’s what‘a reported on the OS!
  4. Ha ha….no disrespect to Preston or Norwich fans, but I’d give his eulogies a bit more time!!
  5. Yeah, agree with all that……just making the (only half serious) point that the eulogies is opposing fans isn’t always a guide!
  6. Mind you, fans of many Championship clubs also eulogised about HNM and about Fam!
  7. I discovered something else about Cat Stevens this weekend. I was talking to Italian friends and Glastonbury came up. I asked if they knew Cat Stevens, expecting not - especially the one in his 20s! In fact, one (an English teacher) knew him immediately because they used his songs regularly in English lessons in schools. They are so simple, but well constructed that they are a used as a teaching aid. And the friend in his 20s, who’s a musician, also knew him. Because when he was learning guitar he was often directed to Cat Stevens songs because the music is so simple but well constructed.
  8. Africa (is our land)…….Joshua Moses
  9. Didn’t see that coming…..the crowd as guest singer!
  10. Wasn’t she performing on another stage in her own right earlier today? Edit: Rina Sawayama. And she was on earlier.
  11. Now I’m anticipating him closing the set with a rendition of ‘always shit on the welsh side of the bridge’!!
  12. As per the earlier discussion, he’s 76. It’s not great, and the slower ones make his limitations more obvious. But I’ve seen him a couple of times in the past 10 years when you’ve barely even able to hear him a la Debbie Harry, or Diana Ross. This is better. Whether he keeps it up for 2 hrs remains to be seen! (And agree with you about the great LC. Although stick the Webb Sisters on and I could happily listen to them all night anyway!!)
  13. Elton proving me wrong when I suggested yesterday that his voice was gone! Better than I’ve heard him for years…he must have tried on his voice whatever it was he used on his hair!
  14. Cat Stevens is 74. Kept his voice......and his looks!!
  15. OK...those of you down there...own up...who's responsible for that big yellow "**** the Tories" flag?!
  16. It was fantastic, wasn’t it? (Even if only on TV for me!). So glad you liked it too: I was sat here thinking I was just another old fart!!
  17. Assuming that he did start at 10.30 then the feed was certainly delayed by a good 10-15 minutes. Just before 10.45 neither his nor LDR’s set had started on iPlayer.
  18. It’s like Nadine Dorries resigning……
  19. I’m only watching from the comfort of my living room….but really enjoyed that set by the Ezra Collective.
  20. Completely agree about Elton John: been past it for ages. But I still think it will be good. They are good songs, and guests, the band and the crowd will all carry it, regardless of his voice.
  21. Proper pitch too. Mud. None of this soppy grass we get nowadays.
  22. £18m, £20m, £25m? Add ons, extras? I’ve no idea. All I know is that the club better be checking out this thread regularly for advice on how to play the negotiation. ?
  23. Love Potion Number 9………The Searchers
