  1. Interestingly I saw a couple of people post during the summer that they were unwilling to buy a shirt with a betting logo any more so had bought a women’s team shirt in their size with Yeo Valley yoghurt (their sponsor) on it. I’m much too old for replica shirts but thought it was a very smart idea.
  2. Because of this; Seri £25m, Mitrovic £22m, Wilson £12m, Reid £10m, Onomah £5m, the guy they brought in 2 minutes from the end (Cavaleiro) cost £15m, another sub Reed £6m, 2 of their unused subs Mawson £20m, Bryan £6m & Chalobah cost £3m. I know you barely know who our players are, let alone the opposition, but surely even you can understand that opponents who had spent well over £100m on the squad they put out today, have a bit of an advantage?
  3. Fulham spent more money on players this summer than the other 23 Championship teams combined. We did incredibly well to match them today but using them as a benchmark is simply ludicrous.
  4. 100%. What the **** was the linesman in front of the Dolman doing, too? Should have paid if he was just going to watch the game.
  5. Yep, but I lost count of the times he watched James put in a challenge, cover a runner, win an aerial battle, he simply didn’t do anywhere near enough. Delighted for Williams & agree he can help James & I for one wouldn’t rule Andy King out, if he has more of a bit part role he won’t let us down. Totally right re Palmer, very smart by Nige today & it paid off.
  6. Or perhaps just not playing?
  7. Let’s be honest, Bakinson was a total passenger, he contributed virtually nothing in his time on the pitch. Williams did well & fingers crossed he can now stay fit, but on that evidence King should play before Bakinson does again.
  8. They played for us, did well & we got good money for both of them. I don’t care if they were really Man U or Liverpool fans, they should get a decent reception. As for the starting XI Nige likes to make minimal changes but Baker must be a doubt, it will be interesting to see if Tanner gets another go & although I know nothing about the HNM rumour, there might be a change in midfield anyway if King is fit again.
  9. We’re going to really struggle then, because they’re rubbish & going back down.
  10. No surprise. The surprise is that The Post still believe anyone bar the six fingered few want to read the shit he comes out with.
  11. Took the piss out of us, though. Genuinely don’t care if he was popular with his team mates, he stole a living from us & contributed absolutely nothing. Waster.
  12. Been widely quoted that we reduced our wage bill by a third this summer.
  13. Really dislikable plastic club, too. Their fans have gas levels of delusion, too. Seriously think they are a similar size to the likes of Villa.
  14. Lockleaze would be my shout, too. Henbury, Patchway & Horfield are like a foreign country to me, so have absolutely no idea but would have thought Fishponds was still a bit more blue than red? Used to be the case that East Bristol was seen as Gas, but doubt very much that the likes of gentrifying St.George & Redfield are these days & as someone who grew up there in the early 70s it was 50/50 even back then.
  15. According to Barton at the weekend “his career might be over”, truly incredible that he gave him a one year contract after the stuff I detailed above.
  16. There’s a bigger picture issue, too. Garner had a dreadful record but his clear plan was to sign loads of players in their early 20s who had been let go by the likes of Palace & Fulham & try to produce a team that still had time on its side to improve. This plan also had the bonus that should one of them do so well & attract the attention of a side up the pyramid then they’d get some funds to improve the squad. This is a coherent strategy. Barton on the other hand has signed 36 & 37 year olds who were without clubs (& in the case of Leon Clarke, who had 2 hamstring injuries last season & a back operation), plus a load of 30 something ex-Fleetwood players (or Scousers), there is no plan, no possibility these players are anything but on their way down. It is absolutely incredible that Wael has indulged him to bring in 20 players & massively increase the age profile & presumably wage bill. They are in huge trouble, I’m delighted to say.
  17. 19th in League One now, so only 6 points adrift of Cheltenham Town. After probably spending more money than the rest of the division combined I’m pretty sure I’d be going full David Brent, too. What a total cock he is, so happy he’s gone.
  18. So in summary; According to one belter who replied to the Bristol Live match report they only lost to Leyton Orient yesterday because of the ref. The loyal & true fans’ numbers were reduced because of Tokyo World in Eastville Park (no, I don’t know what it is, either). Wael should appoint John Terry because they’re friends (someone else seriously suggested Chris Wilder a few weeks ago). They’re ******* special, aren’t they?
  19. Perhaps their new stadium should be in Kabul? Job’s a good’un..
  20. They must have come to a settlement with Garner, I’m pretty sure you can’t manage again until outstanding compensation is sorted. Tisdale is probably the only one, as they gave him a two and a half year deal but sacked him after 19 games.. I think there are 2 possibilities as to why the fake Sheikh hasn’t sacked him, as others have said, he is waiting to see if the courts do the job for him (saving him the compensation) or he’s scared of him. That second one is no joke, some of Barton’s hangers on are seriously unpleasant, if you don’t believe me, Google Joey Barton & Andrew Taylor..
  21. I look at Gaschat when I fancy a laugh & the levels of delusion before a game are off the scale. Literally 20 people posting every week “I think today will be the day we turn it around”. For ****’s sake, what’s wrong with them? They’re absolutely shit, how can they not realise?
  22. This is one of those generic bot things that appears on Twitter, ignore. Barton must stay & finish the job.
  23. Some people just can’t face the hard yards, can they? We were an absolute shambles last season & anyone with half a brain knew it would take a while to sort out. The types on here who only post when we lose just don’t get it. We could be like Forest & change managers all the time but after appointing someone who actually has a track record why the **** would we want to do that? You reds!
  24. Things looking pretty ugly for Forest if he gets it.
  25. Only need to worry about 2 places now..
