  1. I guess they're hoping for larger attendances, having the smaller clubs at home - will make the figures look better for Harvey's spin. Can't see many Sunderland fans travelling down, when they've already been here on the Saturday. I'm still boycotting.
  2. There will be two warm balls in the bag, for sure.
  3. Interested to know who these two players are? Cheers.
  4. Exactly as it should be since the EFL turned this comp into a farce. Well done to all those who boycotted the game tonight.
  5. He's West Ham - it's his stepson who supports Rovers.
  6. I believe that's what was shown in the last set of accounts. Will be interesting to see how much extra the new CEO has put on wage bill - I haven't a clue what he does either!
  7. He's just the frontman, who gets thrown under the bus by owners when they want a mouthpiece to address the unsettled fanbase, or deliver bad news (UWE stadium cancelled). Not sure that he knows much more than the fans to be honest. He gets paid £70k per annum - I'd do it for £50k if they asked nicely.
  8. I knew people who supported both teams, it just felt like the right "fit" for me - no doubt I've left myself open to loads of abuse by saying that! ? It could partly be due to the fact that I do always tend to take the side of the underdog in any competition, oh, and blue is my favourite colour. ?
  9. I was taken to watch both as a child, and chose Rovers when I was old enough to go to matches on my own. Of course I would love us to have your wealth, and all that it brings with it, but Rovers are my club of choice and that's the way it will stay.
  10. You are correct - Boston beat us 2 - 0
  11. The OP on here said "No steward has the authority to open an exit gate ..." - I was just clarifying that it was not solely an exit gate, there are larger gates which are only opened at the end of the match where exit can be accessed by all supporters.
  12. It was the gate which is used to allow disabled supporters to access the ground, not an exit gate.
  13. Wouldn't have pegged you as an S&M fan Bert - thought M&S would be more up your street.
  14. Cheers - that's one theory down the pan then!
  15. Is the "huge surprise" somebody who has been connected to City at some point?
  16. Thanks for that - I'm still relatively new to Trowbridge, and didn't realise that the football club had reformed. I remember watching Rovers play a friendly against the original club, years ago at the Frome Road ground.
  17. Don't Trowbridge Town play opposite the retail park where McDonald's is? A big "no" to Bath Rugby coming this way, if they are allowed to develop The Rec it should be in conjunction with Bath City.
  18. The poster lives in Australia, and it's his local "soccer" team that he's referring to with regards to being after McCormack
  19. I don't know him, or any of the people who were mentioned, so I have no idea whether he is or not.
  20. Oooh that's interesting, - didn't realise that @JulieH had gone public on the outcome of their meeting!
  21. That's exactly what a loophole is - it usually needs a good businessman (or accountant in your case) to spot the flaw and make use of it. Nothing unlawful at all.
  22. Actually, the Football League changed the rules after 1982, so that this loophole couldn't be used again.
  23. Didn't realise there was a time embargo on what could be mentioned, rather strange as this conversation started by a poster stating that Gasheads are scum, due to something that happened in 1982! To be honest, we could both compile lengthy lists of wrong doings, by both our own, (if we're being truthful), and the other club's "supporters". Just a vacuous willy waving contest really.
  24. You should know - December 1996, live on Sky TV, for all the nation to see.
