  1. Someone must’ve Stoked the pipe and the leak was too strong…. Argghhh that’s not that great, but there’s a pun in there somewhere, definitely
  2. God, it’s even worse than I remembered when you look at it again in the cold light of day. 2 keepers on the bench and still can’t even fill it.
  3. I dunno Dave, I for one spend £400 on a ST, spend however many extra hundreds a year travelling to as many away days as possible, and each game I have my fingers crossed that we lose so that the manager fails. It’s just honest logic.

I think yesterday & West Ham were his two most consistent back to back performances since becoming number 1. Still kicks far too many unchallenged balls into touch for me… Will be really interesting to see what we do in the summer re Keepers, as can’t see Bajic being kept on, which frees up the need to bring a keeper in. A better back up, or a genuine new number 1 challenge?
  5. And also, note how they waited until they were losing to reveal the banners. How strong and noble of them… Have a lot of time and respect for Palace as a club and fanbase, but what they did yesterday was pretty cringe imo.
  6. My 2 + 2 that twine can’t play Friday, so was making sure he got as many minutes as possible and keeps anis ‘Fresh’. Although is something quite funny about how much was made of his “changing” of Mehmeti, wanted to sign him at Oxford, new lease of life etc and then he’s signed over with the very first player
  7. Don’t ruin this with facts, you’ll be a cult of Nigel! Think it’s pretty clear we need a pre season under him now, but do still think he’s very much still working out what to do. 16 from 13 with a near enough fit squad (or at least much better than he inherited) isn’t great reading. Yesterday was poor to me and certainly not the kindest of fixture lists coming up, although maybe it’ll work in our favour playing against teams who ‘open up’ more. This will certainly be a test of whether that’s true or not.
  8. Didn’t realise Richard O’Donnell was at Blackpool these days, in goal for them today. Firework watching, back pedal stumbling City goalkeeping legend.
  9. They were all just stood around each training session doing rondos for 3 hours, 4 days a week for 3 straight years
  10. Maintain, when fit, and if we play a 2 in CB, it’s Dickie and Atkinson every day of the week for me. Without any hesitation. Dickie Atkinson Vyner in a 3 is very solid though, if we’re going down that formation route.
  11. He got sent back from FGR a few months into his loan. Will be gone in the summer, if not before. Probably do well to do a contract from an EFL club too, the way it’s going.
  12. The best football related content out there atm for me. Incredible podcast, amazing topics and discussion every week.
  13. They can both really play the “bad cop” role, apparently. The last head coach/current set up we had, always had two side kicks. I think Hogg and Manning coming as a duo, with Hogg by all accounts being a very good coach (first team coach at Ipswich at 32/33 iirc, don’t get given that unless you’re any good) has given him more more license and authority to be a “leader” even as an assistant.
  14. Not allowed to speak sense, sorry!!
  15. 16 points off 6th. Something special is happening. Strap in.
  16. Scramble from one from a corner, half decent save from Dickie header from another. That felt like all she wrote for us second half. Thats not a dig one way or another. Manning’s style is very different so will need more time and a pre season. Dare I even say “needs 3 windows”. The poorest home game this season, it was not. Much better than Preston &Millwall? Again, probably not. As with most home games this season, we Need to find a way to get the central striker(s) far more involved. Whether that is having more time with Twine and another new signing in the 10 role i guess time will tell. Just personally (and I get everyone is different with the football they enjoy watching) finding it quite a painful watch each week until we do finally ‘figure it out’ whilst we’re in transition. Again.
  17. I think his position will be key for Manning next season. Whether it’s him or a “Twine type”, he found pockets of space centrally that we haven’t seen someone do for many years, even if not always threatening he was involved somehow.
  18. Yeah, watching us create nothing at home and needing pens to win them! The odd away game in amongst them, we’ve been great. Get a pre season in them and go again, I guess. That’s not whinging, that’s just fact in my eyes.
  19. Now now Dave… don’t be negative, cult of Nige!!!!
  20. Ahhh the classic Pearson vs Manning comment. Is that also taking into account how I’ve said Manning is one of the best young coaches in England, and that he will manage in the Prem one day? Sorry mate, you’ve lost me there after that
  21. I would just like to actually see some chances actually created in a home game, and see a home win that doesn’t need a penalty. That’s just facts to me, don’t think that’s being too overly negative. As I’ve said before, is just yet another season where it feels like “just get to the summer and go again”.
