There was a very big blow out at the ground after he was sacked apparently, something to do with Holden wanting to be the one to tell the players & his family and them not find out via the media the next day (so could we wait until the morning to announce it), but MA refused (dunno on what grounds). Also heard at that time when Chris Brunt got his injury (remember, Ashton gave it the green light for him to drive 4 hours to training and back every day at his ripe old age relative wise to the point he was in his career), that it was recommend by the club to him (dunno if Rolls) that he should have surgery on to allow him to play for the club quicker, rather than straight rest & rehab it. Serious surgery on a bad calf injury…at 35….******* worrying to have someone genuinely recommend that. God knows the implications it could’ve had on him in later year. Sort of sums the state of the club at at that time. The club had become a crèche under his management though, let’s be honest. All well and good letting others step up, but you need to be accountable ultimately and you can’t just tell people to take on a leadership role if they aren’t ready or don’t want to. Didn’t Kalas say he felt embarrassed and not ready at all to be captain, but felt it wasn’t something he could say no to because of the optics that would have?

He would absolutely be the new Swansea manager if he hadn’t come here -
So are you saying Tanner is on a par as Nicky Hunt when it comes to how poor he is for us?

You weren’t born yet in 2010?!?!

Nothing manager, nothing club. Can’t see anyone getting it right there. -
How the **** is that not a red, let alone not even a card? I despair at what elite football has become, honestly. What is the point of VAR.
-
No. Unles the club didn’t disclose that at the time, which would be an odd thing to do.

Was good, hopefully he can give us a bit of a different option for the rest of the season if he can stay consistently fit. Still be amazed if he’s not released in the summer. -
Yeah, That’s what I’m getting at. There’s no way he’s not been offered a new deal along with the rest. Admittedly haven’t heard anything for a little while, but aware that something has been on the table since the end of last season. The club have definitely tried to be proactive where possible, I.e Sam’s new contract was driven by the club quite unexpectedly, not the player/agent. Be 12 months left on his deal at the end of this season. Club massively stung by losing £££ on main assets in recent years. Don’t hold too much hope on it, in all honesty, unless we have an absolutely incredible run in in the latter parts of the season to think we might actually give it a decent go next season. But we’ve all been here before.

Booked in to Pazzo on the 23rd. Have mourned pasta loco ever since it shut so suddenly. Here’s hoping it fills the void

Conway is already being looked at, and has clubs sniffing around. Him seeing how quickly Alex adapted to the prem, and seeing the difference in lifestyle etc he’ll be able to have, suggests to me there’s no real doubt in my mind he’ll be gone in the summer. Sam, Zak, Max, Cam, all academy players who got tied down with longer, better contracts once we had financial ability too. Quite telling that Tommy is the outlier there.

I’ve thanked the footballing gods every day he’s been gone, since the day he left. Vile bloke, both in terms of what he did to the club, and for how he generally just acted as a person in his time here. We may now have an absolute vacuum of personality and charisma leading the club now, but rather that than have that smarmy ***** anywhere near us. -
Just looked at the table and it must be wrong. 12 points off 6th?? For the greatest squad ever assembled?? “Next season, beware” indeed.

& we didn’t do too badly when they brought all the ‘big guns’ on after HT -
Believe @Davefevs has covered this, and We won’t quality because of Bajic’s experience
-
Imo, if anything the worse we’re doing or lower in the table we are once we get there, the more money that will be ‘moved forward’.

7 from 9 in those pal. Sloppy finishing cost us at Hull too, and on another day we concede a penalty today too. I didn’t say today wasn’t good, first half was for sure, just not in the ‘top 3’. -
Probably comes from fsir few of the first team squad saying he’s the quickest, tbf https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cxsvc7ioHbX/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Would say Swansea, Hull, Millwall are the 3 top away performances so far this season imo -

Said in the MDT, but Don’t think we’ll get anywhere until he’s been given transfer windows and has had a pre season. So really, no different to the situation under Pearson. To me, it all just feels like yet more time being willed away as a city fan. Sigh. Also not convinced in his odd second half approaches in each game so far. Maybe down to not knowing/trusting the squad enough yet, but his subs have leaved a lot to be desired.- 371 replies

Massively. A blessing from Sykes, seeing as he wasn’t even one of our targets! -

I’m certainly feeling like that. Won’t see any proper tangible change under manning until he’s given transfers and a pre season. Sad feeling wanting Yet more time being willed away as a City fan, but tis the truth. -

Not really sure what to make of that, win one of the next two tough games and it’s a good point. Can’t keep coming out of games needing 6/7 good chances to score 1 from though. One thing is for sure, we need help in January. A deeper squad and today could’ve been converted into a win. -

People really slate Yeboah for being too raw and not ready yet okay with Mehmeti trying to nutmeg the same man four times in one attack. Wtf is he doing there -
