  1. Curtis said yesterday, the structure of the time off was exactly the same as they’ve done over the past 2 years. Funny how it’s suddenly an issue now, when Pearson isn’t being issued a new contract, but it wasn’t 18 months ago when it wouldve been more expensive to pay them all off.
  2. Really glad to hear Jon’s thoughts on the strength & conditioning decisions too, forgot that was his area of expertise, and forgot there are people at the club more qualified to comment than PHD Dave Rennie
  3. “We’re not going to line someone up whilst someone’s still in charge, we have morals” Ah so that’s why SO’D was near enough given the job at half time of McInnes’ last game then
  4. I found the comms comments, and there were a lot of them, shots definitely fired at Dave Barton. I wonder if we could be looking at another departure.
  5. Two things that have worried me - “with our structure, we don’t need a CEO” - “we have the ability to be able to outperform our budget“ 1. There isn’t a structure or set up in the world that would lead you to not need someone as CEO or overall leader. Marshall being CEO of the Bristol Sport, so “i guess by default is CEO of football when needed” is absolutely crazy. 2. There isn’t a football club in the world thinking “really wish we would be underperforming vs our budget”. They seemingly expected, or are craving the narrative of, to be guaranteed promotion in Nige’s final year (this season). To still think that without putting any consideration around the last 2 transfer windows, and the fact the bloke had to work under 4 different CEOs in 2.5 years, is absolutely fairyland stuff.
  6. Money, size of club, bigger fanbase; quality of stadium and training ground, squad… Is why I didn’t think Mousinho would be a goer. Portsmouth have all of that.
  7. Your last point sums it Up for me. Would be an exciting appointment for me, that I’d get on board with, but we’re get again back in ‘give me 3 transfer windows to get my team’ territory.
  8. Volks Wagen Played an impressive 4-3-3 gegenpress with Hamburg u21s. Hope it’s him.
  9. I think it’s a happy coincidence. Manning has been extremely highly thought of his entire coaching career. I’ve no doubt at all when we arranged to play them pre season & drew them at AG that there’d been invested interest in what their philosophy of playing style was like.
  10. yessir Ive always been a cynic & thought it’s a clever tactic for clubs to carefully select their pre season opponents, based on teams playing styles we want to see played against ours that we wouldn’t play in a regular season. No surprise to me now that we played Oxford, bankers bonus we drew them in the CC, and also no surprise we were willing to play Portsmouth away for Mousinho.
  11. It’s not, but he will be of pretty strong consideration, dare I say even top of the list, for Piercy to break the lines and run with the story as the first person to announce it
  12. Honestly I’d be all over this. Excellent coach, Oxford played really really good stuff against us at AG in august. However….he is quite boring in press conference. So pick your poison.
  13. There’s a very clear edit that’s gone in with 3 minutes to go, then the remaining basically 3 minutes is conveniently in total silence with no audio. Wowza
  14. That was the brilliant detail we needed, exactly around injuries. He’s gone out batting for his mates there. What a ******* boy.
  15. Opening 3 minutes of Flem’s presser paraphrased - “wouldve ******* loved to have left this circus with them too but been backed in to a corner to stay as interim”
  16. In one of Piercy’s articles earlier this week he basically confirmed that after the Leeds game, the club had started putting the wheels in motion for his exit. Said yesterday, and it’s total guesswork on my part, but I reckon their ‘process’ is talking to anyone free & available and seeing what sticks (if anything) then moving on to those currently in jobs.
  17. Rennie has a PHD in sport science, and had 20 years in the same role at a club much bigger than us, to huge success. I think I’d trust whatever he’d recommend, over what a player/Tinnion/anyone far less qualified to comment, tbh.
  18. Come onnnnnnnnn Requested that about 5 days ago, I’d moved on to about 3 different managers since then. But I’m back again now. All aboard the Carsley train!!!
  19. You’re giving them too much credit mate
  20. It feels a bit like watching an episode of I’m a Celeb where they haven’t eaten properly in a week so are just turning on each other out of pure starvation rage
  21. Rhymes with Reev Motterill
  22. I feel so sorry for the people who’ve lumped on him off the back of those tweets
  23. He is a top favourite….according to the bookies.
  24. I cannot believe there are people who genuinely think this is happening
