  1. That for me is the truly shocking stat. Once in 40 years we have finished in the top 6 of the second tier, almost 2 decades of those being under Lansdown’s watch. I would feel utterly embarrassed if i was him and had pumped the amount of dough in that he has.
  2. Cleary not good enough yet is he, needs some loan time in League 1 and hopefully he comes back in a year or so more ready.
  3. Some of our fans are deluded if they think Scott Parker would come anywhere near our club. Laughable really it was even suggested but just shows how clueless some are.
  4. Fair play to Rotherham, usually the whipping boys at this level but they look a decent outfit this season. Once again goes to show you don’t need to throw ££ to get a decent team at this level…!
  5. Nige’s post match interview is going to be rather interesting to say the least..
  6. Pretty much sums it up for me. I feel like hitting the bottle tonight, i have had enough - bollox to it being a school night aswell ??
  7. With all due respect there is still a lot of football to be played, it’s November not March. Not saying I particularly want Pearson to stay mind you however we all know how Lansdown’s mind works by now - he is a ditherer and won’t act fast IMO.
  8. God knows but Lansdown will act if he can see us genuinely getting dragged into a relegation dogfight. League 1 is not an option for the club.
  9. Watford has now become a big game though now, even that most staunch Pearson supporters must see that.
  10. He won’t go tonight regardless of result - Watford however has become a huge game though now IMO. Lose that and i think Lansdown could act and with the WC break after it could probably be a good time to get it done and somebody else in.
  11. Dithering on the ball like a clown. Must have learnt that from Naismith at the HPC
  12. Just to make matters worse everyone in and around us in the Championship seem to be winning tonight so far.. worrying times.
  13. Well i defended the first goal but **** me that is dire.
  14. Oh come on 99 times out of 100 a shot like that either goes into row z or gets blocked. Its a hell of a strike, can’t really point fingers when a goal like that goes in IMO.
  15. Just watched the goal **** me other than closing him down a bit more aggressively not a lot you can do about a strike like that
  16. I don’t really get the point you are trying to make. As has been pointed out some big clubs at this level have got some pretty poor attendances in the early rounds of this comp - it is what it is. The cost of living crisis if you haven’t realised is hitting people extremely hard at the moment and irrespective of tickets being ‘only’ a tenner for tonight that will still be financially a step too far for many. Congratulations to you for going tonight, give yourself a pat on the back pal..
  17. Says it all. Some similar sized and bigger clubs than us getting pretty poor attendances in the early rounds. Looking at that list anything above 7 k will be decent tonight..
  18. Forgot totally about Fredericks. Always found the way he left a bit of an odd one, fair to say his career has gone on a massive upward trajectory since though and is now a seasoned campaigner in the Prem!
  19. Jury is still out for me on him. He certainly has improved but he needs to keep up this level of performance for more than just a run of a few games before we get too excited IMO.
  20. Agreed. A convincing win for me is needed and and on top of that it would be nice to see a good solid performance aswell. We need to be going into the Watford game with as much confidence as possible.
  21. I know traditionally the championship is a tight league and anyone can beat anyone but i cannot remember a season this tight for years. It reminds me a bit of 2007/08 and the year we got to the play off final at this level. Clubs like ourselves Stoke and Hull surprising people at the top and the relegation battle was very tight if i remember. Leicester going down on 52 points on the last day.
