  1. What has living in France got to do with anything? Being negative about a fan movement that is literally trying to help the horrendous AG really baffles me to be honest.
  2. Worst opposition centre half i have seen at Ashton gate in a looonggg time
  3. Great play by Pring for the goal. That sort of end product is something Dasilva just doesn’t have..
  4. A win of any kind irrespective of performance is what is required tomorrow ?
  5. The main issue for me with S82 is it has never been big enough, it needs to expand at least a block or even two blocks across the south stand IMO.
  6. Will be almost impossible to Police this at football but fair play there should be no place for homophobia in football just like racism.
  7. Perhaps a bit more of a ‘nasty’ atmosphere is what is needed again at AG.
  8. 07/08 the atmosphere was fantastic in virtually all of our home games. I didn’t miss a home game that season in the East End and although the numbers in their were quite small especially at the start of that season the atmosphere was consistently good. Obviously we were winning games and battling at the top end of this division so naturally it was always going to be good however i feel the East End that season made the difference. Having the vocal support right on top of the away fans without a doubt helped.
  9. What is the reported improved offer? Sorry if already been mentioned cant be assed to look ?
  10. Was only saying this on here the other day mate. Great to see fans have shown some initiative in organising this.
  11. Im all for this . Dolman A and B block used to be very lively back in the day.
  12. Always wished he would have had a chance to manage us. Would never in a million years of happened under under Lansdown’s watch though.. As others have said we have no time for proven ‘winners’ at this football club.
  13. Call me pessimistic and I’m sure @Mr Popodopolous or @Davefevs would be able to shed more info on this than me but from what I can see and with the current FFP rules would new investment/owners actually make a blind bit of difference in terms of what we actually would have available to spend on new players? If the club is bought by a new owner surely we are still going to be hampered by our FFP situation but also with the added concern of not 100% knowing the intentions of said owners. For as much as i feel SL has taken the club as far as he can i worry that new ownership wouldn’t actually leave us in any better of a situation then we currently find ourselves in.
  14. You are severely underestimating how hard it is to make it pro in Golf. From scratch to actually becoming a touring Pro that can earn a living from the sport the gulf between the two is immense. Jimmy Bullard another superb amateur golfer found this out.
  15. Im surprised Mourinho didn’t want it be honest. Apparently he is happy at Roma but surely managing your country is the pinnacle.. obviously not in Jose’s eyes.
  16. Don’t really understand why we net off the front of the Atyeo to be honest. It just invites away fans to do what they did today in my opinion. Royally pisses me off that we give away fans the whole Atyeo anyway but obviously not a lot you can do when its a cup fixture as you are obliged to give them them a bigger allocation. The club definitely needs to review the layout of Ashton gate next season IMO. It has been done to death on here over the last few years but we need to somehow try and get the home advantage back again. Having S82 either expanded or another singing section introduced next to the away fans in the Atyeo is vital to improve the atmosphere for me. Easy for JL etc to bury their heads in the sand about the AG atmosphere but it is dire at the moment and something needs to be done. Big away followings keep coming here and taking the piss year in year out.
  17. The life is slowly being sucked out of our football club. Changing the manager won’t make a blind bit of difference, either.
  18. Same for all teams though, every club in the land counts ST holders irrespective of if they turn up or not. Do Sunderland for an example actually physically get 36 plus thousand week in week out at the stadium of light? I very much doubt it.
  19. Unless we are doing well which we haven’t been for the past 3 or so season. We all know that when we are top half / pushing for play-offs in this league we always take big numbers away. It is what it is really. Can’t knock our home support though. I think relative to recent and past success to still be averaging over 20k at home is fantastic support in all honesty.
  20. You weren’t the only one - remember these banners anyone? ????
  21. Doesn’t feel like too long ago that Scunthorpe came up with us from League one in 2007 - madness.
  22. Indeed. But what did SL and our board do, sanctioned him and MA to spend to the levels that have never been seen at BCFC before in the summer of 19. As i said previously getting in somebody like Hughton or Pearson around 2018/19 with the available funds we had to spend would have almost guaranteed a play-off place at the very minimum IMO.
  23. Absolutely. I’m a self-employed electrician and there is no such thing as ‘keeping your hand in’ within the electrical game nowadays. Its 2023 not the 1980’s.
  24. LJ did fine for me in his first couple of years here - the problem that the powers that be didn’t see was that by about the summer of 2018 he had taken us as far as he could. IMO he did a very good job after Cotts. Don’t get me wrong i loved Cotts but we we’re heading down that season under him. Yes he wasn’t backed etc etc but his obsession with playing 3-5-2 week in week out when it just wasn’t working was his downfall. I think SL got rid of him at the right time. As I just said the summer of 2018 was the time to have given LJ the boot. Yes it would have been harsh maybe as he had us knocking on the door and fair play he got us established at this level and the cup run was fantastic but that was the summer to have gotten in a Pearson or Hughton IMO. Managers who have proven at this level if they have heaps of cash to spend (like LJ was allowed to spunk) then they will more than likely get you into the play-offs as a bare minimum.
