  1. Indeed. This is our eighth consecutive season at this level, we should all know by now how unpredictable the championship can be.
  2. Still stand by my comments of a top 10 finish would be a really good season. In fact anything from 13th upwards would do me. All about the summer window and building towards next season now.
  3. Agree. You have to commend Pearson and the trust he places in the youngsters though, he must see something in Bell for him to keep his place at the moment.
  4. Was always going to be the case though unfortunately. I love Weimann and the effort and graft he puts in whenever he wears the shirt but last season was a complete freak season for him imho.
  5. It would appear so. Jury is out for me as of yet but I can only give an honest opinion of what i have seen of him so far, and he has been in the main poor. You hope once he gets up to speed fitness wise we will see a better version if him but I can’t help think the money would have been better spent elsewhere. Still early days though.
  6. Difficult with that big oath sliding in and taking him out though.
  7. Think i would take a draw right now to be honest..
  8. ******* *******, cannot stand them. Hope we do a job on them Saturday and put them even more in the mire. About time they spent a bit of time in League one ?
  9. Indeed. Mental really the amount of money we have squandered over the last few years. I think things will be much different going forward though. Excited to see what Pearson and his staff can do with the incoming £20 plus million we are going to get for Scott in the summer.
  10. Credit to him. Another one i really wouldn’t have thought a few season ago was going to make it with us but he has proved me and many others wrong ?
  11. Yeah thanks for the well wishes but i lost you when you said Qpr and Ainsworth are going to offer us £2 million for a player with clear potential to be worth £15-£20 million. We would have no reason to sell him this summer for £2million. As i said his potential far out ways that so it wouldn’t make any sense from a financial point of view - and secondly Nigel Pearson will be looking to build a team around players like Mehmeti for a push into the top 6 next season.
  12. Im with you Dave. Clubs like Marseille, Lyon, Monaco, Nice, Lille etc are all lower to middling Prem clubs IMO. You look at the infrastructure and academies at clubs like Lyon and they are superb. Better than anything at Championship level in this country and most of the lower Premier league aswell. Most of the clubs i mentioned regularly hold their own in the Champions league or Europa league aswell. As you said the style is slower but technically there are some very good players in ligue 1. We all know right now Premier league is without a doubt the best league in the world but i think it has gone to the heads of some people in this country in recent years.
  13. Thats the sort of figure i was looking at aswell, i think 74 ish points would do it. Would literally mean we can only afford 1 loss as you say and minimal draws between now and the end of the season. It’s a monumental ask IMO!
  14. Brilliant win. I think a top 10 finish would be a real possibility now which after everything Pearson has had to deal with would be a fantastic season. As others have said with a bit of investment in the summer i feel we could have a real go next season!
  15. Same women apparently. Mental.
  16. Looks really cheap and tacky to be fair. It’s step down from Hummel IMO.
  17. Would be interesting to know what JL does on a day to day basis. Obviously none of us know or probably ever will know what he actually ‘does’ but I can’t help but just feel he has been shoehorned into the role of chairman purely because of his old man. Fair play to him i suppose, the perks of your Dad being a billionaire football club owner ay..
  18. Fair point. It would be interesting to see if O’neill’s are looking to seriously move into the professional football market like Castore have and if any other bigger clubs decide to go with them.
  19. Well that is rather annoying isn’t it
  20. I think it’s more the fact that Hummel was such an iconic and worldwide recognised brand, so to go from that to a brand that very few would have even heard of will probably be why its being seen as a bit tinpot. To be honest you only have to look at the football clubs they supply on their website, all clubs i have never heard of bar Wycombe. Says it all really.
  21. Guessing we are a fairly big coupe for O’neils? Just looking at the list of football clubs they supply and we look the biggest club by some distance that they supply..
  22. Shame to lose Hummel, not that i buy replica kits but the Hummel gear has always looked decent and for a big worldwide recognised brand the individual designs they did for us were always good. Without wanting to sound overly negative but you only have to look at the clubs that ‘O’Neills’ sponsor to get a feeling that this all seems a little tinpot IMO. Hopefully as others have said this is just a stop gap.
  23. Why would we ditch Hummel after signing a 6 year contract with them.. think the OP might be having us on..
  24. Gutted. Absolute legend of the game.
