  1. The bed wetters won’t be happy until we are mathematically safe though, we should all know this..!
  2. Your right they don’t.. funny as they haven’t been relevant to us since about 2009. We have overtaken them both on and off the pitch massively since the early 2000’s so it wouldn’t bother me either way if they came up to be honest. Certainly don’t view them as a threat these days!
  3. Poor decision making is his down fall, your hoping it comes in time.
  4. Surface is a disgrace, ******* rugby.
  5. Always lively against Plymouth, I’ve always got the impression they care about us more than we do about them though. Wouldn’t class games against them as derbies as such but they always have a bit of needle about them certainly off the pitch aswell as on it.. Be interesting to see how they do next season if they come up, i think the gulf between League 1 and the Championship is as big now as it’s ever been. It almost seems to be the norm for clubs to come up and either go straight back down or struggle. They will need some serious investment if they want to be competitive at this level. Good luck to them though.
  6. About time the Jocks showed something that resembled a half decent international team, they have been abysmal for absolutely years. To have only qualified for one major tournament in the last 11 is absolutely horrendous. Yes Scotland is a country of only 4 million, but so is Croatia.. The Scots should be doing much better than they have been IMO.
  7. The quality of it all looks so poor, yes granted I haven’t seen any of it in person yet but i think just from the pictures we get an idea of what it’s going to be like. My only hope is that the club will realise their mistake and we only stick with O’neills for a season or two at the most. I wonder what length of contract we signed with them? I can’t remember actually seeing anything about that on the OS when it was announced.. As others have said why we rushed to ditch Hummel when seemingly every other club in the country has managed to sort the supply issue out with them is baffling.
  8. What a joke. Season is over anyway in reality, roll on the summer..
  9. Rice was MOTM for me, he really needs to leave West Ham in the summer though and move to a club in the Champions League whether that be in this country or abroad IMO.
  10. Good game this now to be fair..!
  11. 3 Italian teams left in the Champions League with a combined number of 7 Italian players playing for them.. and people say we have problems in England with the amount of foreigners in the Prem. Italy seemingly have it much worse in the Serie A..
  12. Maguire losing the ball, this playing out from the back bollox causes so many needless issues.
  13. Thought we looked excellent im that first half. Best I’ve seen an England side play for a while. Crazy to think the options we still have to come back in forward area’s aswell, Rashford, Foden, Mount, Sterling etc..
  14. Certainly some big clubs down in League 1 these days, Charlton and Portsmouth also just below the top 6 places aswell.. Would be a very tough league to get out of IMO!
  15. Its still too early to truly pass judgement on Cornick IMO. He still looks way off the pace fitness wise, no two players are the same and it can take others longer to get up to speed. The bottom line is even if Cornick doesn’t ultimately reach the levels that are required and turns out to be a bad signing at least financially it has been of low risk. He was signed for what 3-400k l reportedly? And he won’t be on wages of anything more than 6-7k a week IMO. Not every signing is going to work out and IMO the vast majority of Pearson’s have been good so far on a shoe string budget. I think we have to look at this signing for what it is, a low risk punt that may or may not work out.
  16. ******* shit, been coming though we look toothless.
  17. I was also told that the South Stand has been designed to add another tier. That could be an option but still wouldn’t get away from the Atyeo needing to be redeveloped. Another tier on the South Stand would make the Atyeo look even more odd and out of place IMO. If and when the time is needed i really wouldn’t rule out the possibility of the houses on Ashton Road being purchased. It’s not just the extra capacity that a new Atyeo with corners being filled in it would give, but also the extra hospitality boxes and more conference space that could be utilised by the club.
  18. Glad we stayed at Ashton Gate personally. Still plenty of scope to extend on the current site, yes houses would need to be purchased but it’s certainly all doable if we ever really needed to extend the Atyeo or South Stand or when the flats behind the Dolman go.
  19. As others have said with their terrible facilities and League 1 fanbase at best it is hard to see Luton sustaining their current trajectory. You can only go so far on home gates of 7 thousand and a stadium that is horrendously outdated. We all know where we are heading as a club and we have finally started to lay the foundations to not only reach the Premier league but having a decent chance of staying there if and when we finally do it. Luton on the other hand need serious investment off the pitch and about 12 thousand more home fans through the turnstiles each week to truly be able to sustain themselves at this level or the level above IMO, if they don’t go up this season i would surprised to see them finish above us next season in the championship..
  20. Fair comment about Saturday, i thought he was average at best to be honest but it’s all about opinions. As for him playing against us next season good luck to him if him and his agent can find another championship club. I will eat some humble pie if he goes on to do well at this level with another club but i just can’t see it. As i said for me he offers next to nothing going forward and is so easily picked off when he is asked to defend. He can’t be trusted in a flat back four and as i said when he is asked to play as a wing back he doesn’t do anywhere near enough in the opposition final third.
  21. Hahaha that is brilliant. I can’t see him even lasting out this season there to be honest ?
  22. He hasn’t looked great so far bit still way too early to pass judgement IMO. He does seem to be the new scapegoat at the moment which is no surprise. Personally after last night i would be focusing less on Cornick and on players like DaSilva, really hope we don’t offer him a new deal in the summer even as back up. The kid offers nothing both defensively or offensively, easily gets bullied and is such an easy target. Honestly can’t remember the last decent game he had for us.Time to get rid.
