  1. Just got in from work, this is a pleasant surprise! I think we are finally turning the corner ?
  2. Not a chance he is on £3.5 k a week at Brighton. That is laughable.
  3. Indeed. In Sam Bell and Tommy Conway we have our ‘up and coming’ replacements. As you said no need to be buying other peoples young talent when we have our own. Our academy is finally producing some top quality talent as has been proven over the last few years.
  4. Luton fans are the most deluded bunch of ***** going, you have got to laugh at them. Basically a feeder club to us now ? Also having worked there last year the town of Luton is in my honest opinion the in the top 5 worst places to live in the UK aswell - it is an absolute dump. Would i **** want to raise a family and live there..
  5. Good keeper for us to be fair, lost his way a bit under Pearson but he is undoubtedly a very good keeper at this level. As others have said best of luck to him- he has a touch with the 2.5 year deal aswell.
  6. Not sure where Lampard goes from here to be honest. The bloke needs an extended break out of the game IMO and hope he can re ignite his managerial career, possibly abroad if and when he decides to come back.
  7. Excellent news. Let’s hope this is the start of a return of a better atmosphere at Ashton gate.
  8. You can tell Nige thinks ‘here we go again’ when it comes to talking to the press, irrespective of if we are playing well or not i think he still has this same thought process.. As you said with the same inane questions he gets asked week in week out, who can blame him - it must be tedious as F.
  9. You are a man obsessed. For somebody who lives in France that clearly rarely goes to games why do you give so much of a shit about people who are actively trying to get the dire Ashton Gate atmosphere going. You are a strange one..
  10. It should be ‘And i can drive a tractor’ at the end instead of ‘F****** W******* ‘but i think some of our lot haven’t realised that.. Anyway Plenty of clubs have songs that banter themselves. Leeds sing ‘’Leeds are falling apart again’’ Man United fans sing ‘’who the **** are Man United’’ I think the tractor song is decent to be honest and as others have said it was being sung donkeys years ago on the East end so its nothing new…
  11. Was there Any evidence of people duplicating tickets en mass ? or are people just reading the OS and taking it as gospel.. Like I’ve just said there are hundreds of tickets available to buy for Saturday and there were hundreds available to buy for Birmingham. This notion that A block is rammed full of season ticket holders is a complete myth.
  12. In fairness the statement is encouraging people to BUY tickets for A block. Just having a look now there are literally hundreds of tickets left available to buy. Would be interesting to know the actual number of season ticket holders in A block as from what i can see there are bloody loads of available seats. How many actual season ticket holders are being ‘turfed out’?..It can’t have been many looking at what seats are available.
  13. A depressingly honest post mate..I’m of the opinion though that there is still a large enough proportion of our fanbase that won’t accept us turning into a Fulham or Reading but i agree with your sentiments that it feels like we are heading that way. This is why it is crucial that movements like this are supported by as many of us like minded fans as possible. The club cannot silence a large majority especially if it is done in the correct way ?
  14. We shall see. The general theme of your posts on this thread have been fairly negative towards the idea anyway so its of no surprise that you are just assuming the club will want to squash this idea.
  15. I’m glad somebody has raised this point. We have a 27,000 seater stadium that at present we very rarely sell out. Let’s be honest there are literally thousands of empty seats all over the stadium that can cater for familys or people who want to enjoy watching football sat in silence. People pay their money and are entitled to watch the game in which ever way they want however let’s not pretend that we don’t have a stadium that is more than big enough to offer EVERYONE the choice. It just needs some organisation and dialogue between the club and fans. It should be in theory fairly straightforward IMO.
  16. It’s laughable isn’t it mate. Football grounds are unrecognisable from the 70s 80s and the majority of the 90s yet it seems to be mainly blokes from that generation who are taking this moral high ground on the youth of today. Were there any arrests on Saturday from A block?…From what i can gather it was a decent attempt albeit slightly poorly organised which in fairness was to be expected as it was mainly younger fans behind it. It seems as if they need a few older heads around them to guide them in the right direction IMO. Like i said if season ticket holders are getting turfed out of seats then that is bang out of order and of course if this A block movement wants to get any serious traction then they will have to liaise with the club, that is a given. All that is needed is a bit of give and take by both sides and not this constant ‘back in my day it wouldn’t have happened’ bollox that is being spouted on here left right and centre.
  17. Going forward if A block does become a new standing area then existing fans in that block may be left with the choice of either staying in there next season and being apart of it or moving along a block or two. At the end of the day i hear what people like @spudski and others are saying and respect needs to be shown, equally however if this movement does actually equate to helping improve a better atmosphere at AG then i think everyone at the club needs to get behind it to be honest.
  18. He will be looking at a custodial sentence aswell as the ban for life i would imagine.
  19. I liked Dean Holden but he should never in a million years of been offered the job here. Can’t blame him of course for taking it though, I’m sure he had a healthy pay off and as he said has used the experience to better himself as a manager - fair play to him.
  20. Class. Im still 100% behind Nigel aswell. He is the best man for this job IMO.
  21. You are a proper little annoying bellend aren’t you?!
