To be honest, at that price(says £18m I know euros has been out there too) you have to start the discussion with Alex himself I think. I always looked at the 25m as the max. 20-25m and I don’t think we withhold the move from him. That would have to be guaranteed 20-25m though. Then some add ons and sell on.

It isn’t an easy line to toe. Being ambitious and keeping our best but also providing a platform for players to move on. At 18m quid it becomes a negotiation imo not just a flat out rejection.

Well it would be a rejection as the club have made it clear what the starting point is.

if a club comes in with a bid of say £22m, potentially it becomes a negotiation…up front fee with add-ins to take it to minimum £25m+

Alex committed to the club on a long contract and we gave him the platform and developed him into a position where some top uk and European clubs are interested in him….let’s not roll over and have our tummy tickled, we get what we want and he leaves with all our blessing

My neighbour inquired about alternatives and was told that if he wanted an actual SC that it would cost him another £20.

May be an image of text that says "BRISTOL CITY Bristol City SLO @BristolCitySLO All supporters who have purchased season tickets will be contacted via emai with updates regarding digital ticketing in the next few weeks in plenty of time for the seaso start against @pnefc 09:53 23/06/2023 from Earth 237 Views"

I take it Digital Ticketing is an app on your phone that allows you entry through the turnstyles is it ?

Problems i see with this is  what happens if battery dies on your phone ?

There's a crowd of us who all sit together, if anyone is unable to attend a match we give the ticket to a one of the others to bring a friend along to save the ticket being wasted this wont possible now as you are not going to give someone your phone are you

It depends how the digital ticket is set up but you should be able to screen shot the ticket and electronically send it to someone else

Going by posts from many fans across Twitter where they’ve suggested their club sign Scott for a few million - I think our fans and club are hugely overvaluing Scott. I understand the club doing it to obtain optimal price but I can’t see any club offering any more than 10m quid for him.

Good god, so some random fans across twitter are now the font of all knowledge on Alex Scott's valuation. IF Scott does leave, we will get way more than £10m

    Rovers in a nutshell.

"What's the definition of luxury? If the south stand has a concourse that's out of the elements then that's pretty standard for a modern ground.
Oxford, Derby all the same really. Coventry, just more space. MK Dons, just bigger concourse and a good view. A temporary stand that does the same as those listed, I'll take that"

So, no need for a new stadium then. They will have a capacity that more than covers their long term average attendances and a makeshift stand with a concrete alleyway behind it which is absolutely no different to what modern stadiums can offer like derby, mk dons and Coventry…..wael has cracked it

I seem to be in a minority but I prefer multiple threads that are more focussed on a particular story or event so I can instantly see if it's something I want to read.  (This one could be more specifically named if I was going to be pedantic).

These generic 'West Ham' or 'Wrexham' threads that get resurrected from ages ago are annoying.   I have to read 6 pages of some old story that lost my interest some time ago to find get to something new that may or may not be of interest now.  Sure, if two thread are started on the same story then merge them, but otherwise just leave them alone to bubble away on page one or disappear from view if they aren't of interest.

There are some stories about Rovers that I may finding of interest but I've given up now because I can't be arsed viewing thousands of pages of shite just because there may be something in there.

Is it some kind of authoritarian power trip by the mods?

You do know you can click on the red dot next to the thread title which will take you to the latest post don’t you?

  7. I would assume we haven’t released ours yet due to the under21s involvement in the PDL2 semi-final today. There will no doubt be several players in the squad that will not be with us next season and although they will be aware, it’s common courtesy not to go public until our involvement is over.

As it stands we’re 0-3 down (not a fair reflection of the game) so don’t be surprised if the retained list will be out tomorrow/Wednesday

    very sillybilly comments here.

I am just saying to keep the Bristol sport teams on seperate menus (i meant menu not website actually) as the city website at the moment is about city women which not everyone wants to read, so instead they could make their choice of sport/team from a menu.

Wish I'd not mentioned it haha

It’s the ‘Bristol city’ website……the last time I looked, the women are bristol city. If you don’t want to read about it, don't click on the article

All websites will have articles that people may not be interested in, they don’t go creating new websites just because Matt from Weston doesn’t want to read about it

Why wow?  I don’t visit the website anymore. Poorly, incorrect articles all the time. When you add constant stories about the women’s team that I have no interest in, I don’t waste my time.

I understand people do want to read about it but if it was all in one place might be easier for them to find?!

So, you don’t visit the website due to poor, incorrect articles and accept people visit the website to read articles on the women’s team even though you don’t waste your time so not really sure what point you’re trying to make

you also suggest the women should have they’re own website so their articles are ‘easier for them to find’ yet it seems to be mattWSM that struggles with finding the right articles
