Nick Carle Gone To Palace / Replacements

Recommended Posts

is on his way to Palace.

Anyone else know anything about this?

Yes, I do.

Don't know where you've been, but I've spent the last week with a previously undiscovered tribe of pygmies in the depths of an immeasurable forest in Outer Mongolia who have little or no contact with the outside world.

The little chaps have been buzzing about the Carle news for days now. :innocent06:

What you throwing your toys out your pram for...?? Why should I take more care after 24 pages of this and over a week, when the deal even in the papers is done...??

I really cant be bothered with some of you admin guys sometimes, you think you are BCFC, and don't really like it when others know more before you. Tough really, in this case there is no fear of it jeopardising the deal.

ark at you, i'm calm, sounds like you are throwing your toys out your pram!

talking of when the roumor first started.

the knowing is not the problem it's the telling that will get some in to hot water and you just can't

see past this ''i know more than you'' crap to notice that we are trying to protect all parties, now if

the person was named from the lions sourse that person could lose their job just becuse someone can't keep

their gob shut and i don't want that.

what next eh! mcindoe ;)

Yes, they've got incredible natural talent in abundance, if not prodigious in the air. Unfortunately, now they've been discovered there are bigger clubs than us sending out expeditions.

But Nogbad

Haven't you heard revealing your presence in Mongolia with the Pygmies and then posting it on here is certain to alert other clubs...Its all your fault Man U have sent there jungle scouts to take a look...Ahh well dashed again :disapointed2se:

No big clubs yet REDOXO though Accrington Stanley and Livingstone have made tentative enquiries about guided expeditions.

Have no fear though, the Pygmies have heard all about the Master GJ and City are their unanimous first choice. In their iown words, "That huge man Gary Johnson is a great coach even if he is a giant"

Lets just say if Man.Utd request some directions to the pygmy encampment, it's just possible their scouts might get a bit lost in the vast impenetrable jungle.

Morning me old muckers.

I haven't posted for a while, but I'm just wondering if this transfer is ever going to happen?

My only source of knowledge is the official website - and so far it has completely let me down - not a single mention of Mr Carle.

As far as I am concerned, if it aint on the official site, it aint happening! So is this transfer just all myth and destined to go down as an urban legend? I can't help thinking that with a bit of good editing and the addition of a well paced structure, this entire thread could be developed as a novel, or a film script!

I find it funny (and infuriating) that even Wikipedia cites Carle as a Palace player now, but still nothing on the official site.

Stepping away from the Pygmie debate :noexpression: is anyone else now thinking that perhaps the reason that the Carle deal has taken so long is maybe it is because were getting a player in exchange? Obviously once NC has agreed his contract it would then mean we'd have to tie up the contract with the incoming player and perhaps this is what the hold up is. The more i think about it the more certain i am that this is whats going on.

So lets look at some of the names that has been mentioned:

FLETCHER - No way, defensive player and a bit of a ###### in my book.

WATSON - Would love it to be him, but i reckon he'll be off to QPR or the prem.

DANNS - A couple of years ago maybe, not so sure now, isn't he a bitof a pygmie too?

MORRISON - A proven scorer at this level and has links with us already. Think he's out of contract though and so is he Palace's to sell?

I expect all will be come clear the early part of next week.

sorry if this has already been posted its hard to keep track og this thread

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A37764967

if you read anyhting as truth from this it would appear warnock is suggesting

1. Johnson saw LJ as his preference over Carle when fit

2. Selling Carle is to drum up more money to spend on strikers

3. Its not a player swap

4. Its about 1 million quid

5. We might find out on tuesday

I personally saw Carle as being ahead of LJ in the pecking order, i don't spose they would have been able to sell LJ for a million though so if there wasnt much in it then youd sell the one that generates the most cash. Also it has been mentioned Carle was one of our top earners so again this will free up more of the wage budget for new players

Cant wait for this to be finalised now so we can add our extra million to the budget and go and get the strikers we all know, and Gary knows we need

Just to confirm really guys.

Nick Carle has agreed his move to Palace, personal terms have been agreed with Nick and he signed a 3 year contract.

The fee is around 700,000 with add ons I'm led to believe.

He will officially be unveiled on Monday or Tuesday this week.

if thats true i reckon youve done very well out of it. we allegedly paid 500k and took all the risk that the player might not settle in england etc.

now that he has settled well and started to look very promising in the english game, youve essentially paid 200k to eliminate that risk, which i think is pretty damn good

i was hoping wed be getting at least a million. all i can hope is we have a striker lined up thats so good, that we need cash desperately to secure him. In that cas the fact we have got the bad end of the deal can be slightly overlooked in context of importance to our first team.

As others have previously posted I think we will receive nearer £1.2m than the £700k quoted here, which personally I think is a good deal for us.

Correct. I have been informed it is definitely over a million pounds in cash, then add on's on top.

No way we'd sell a player like Carle, with 2 1/2 years on his contract for £700k.

It still amazes me that people think they know the details of a confidential contract.

That will be known by your management - ours -- and the player. Everything else is just speculation or "inside information" that can not be confirmed or denied.

The only way we will know -- is if it is not an "undisclosed amount" announcement -- and Palace or City decide to tell us.

Pretty confident it will be undisclosed (City like it that way) and all we are waiting for is 1st July when the transfer window re-opens to announce the departure and incoming (no inside info) of other player(s).

Why do we have to wait for the 1st Jult transfer window for the Carle deal

when the Williams transfer has already been announced?

Precisely - didnt have to wait til july 1st for Gavin Williams deal to go through. Its only bosman transfers which will wait until tomorrow.

We'll know tomorrow if I was proved right - my feeling is that City asked for the Carle deal to go through on the 1st July and not before due to a couple of reasons;

firstly I think City were trying to keep to the "until everything is signed" then we don't announce stuff officially and to buy some time to get a suitable replacement signed.

secondly we are being looked at for the Enoch deal and everything has to be above aboard.

But I agree there is no reason for it not to be announced because as you say the Williams deal has been announced before 1st July but the Carle deal appears to me have been done but with a completion date of 1st July - like in buying a house - exchange of contracts may have been done with a completion date of 1st July whereas the Williams was done with an exchange of contracts and immediate completion.

I know our Palace friend a few mails back said it was all done and dusted, but......!

Palace are also after Yeates from Colchester who has failed a medical with a shoulder problem. Anyone else think that maybe Yeates is their first choice and the delay in finalising the Carle deal is that Yeates is off for specialist checks on his injury?

I suspect that the reason nothing is announced yet is that BCFC want to have another incoming player nailed on before they confirm Carle's transfer.

The buying club haven't announced anything yet.

Didn't Adam recently put an article on the main site saying that we don't announce anything until it's officially announced by the buying club? The exception being Showunmi going to Leeds, where Leeds decided to break the news early.

That's how I read it anyway.
