Brizzle Jordan
That's utter rubbish. How? Pitman isnt quick at all, Maynard atleast has a change of pace.
Red Ferret
Not happy to see such a negative formation if I am honest. One up front with maynard has not worked all season, fingers crossed it works today I guess. I remember quite a few St. Johnstone fans saying McInnes would persist with a 4-5-1 formation even when it wasn't working
MC RISK77
For the 1st time in a long time, i also have a good feeling about today.....2-0 city maynard and adomah

ralphindevon
Maynard plays up front on his own as he has pace, Pitman doesn't Exactly, the last few games I've seen Pitman, for whatever reason, has looked short of pace and fitness. I'm a huge fan of Pitman and think he's a better all round player than Maynard but at the moment he isn't fit or quick enough to play the lone striker role. Robin101
looking at the table and the fixtures (Coventry V Doncaster), we could very easily be 8 points from safety by 5pm...

Pederho ll
THAT'S utter rubbish. A total myth that Maynard has pace, tell me the last time he out paced....well anybody. You keep believing that he's our saviour and a goal machine..... l'll deal in the facts.

Luke_Ciderhead
Looks like a safety first, hard to beat formation....I was hoping we'd go for it today and attack Barnsley. Even at this stage of the season, draws arent much use to us. We need to start WINNING games.
Red-Robbo
Maynard plays up front on his own as he has pace, Pitman doesn't Maynard did have pace but in the last few games defenders have outsprinted him again and again.
Esmond Million's Bung
Maynard plays up front on his own as he has pace, Pitman doesn't I would have thought that goals per game ratio might also be important, Maynard 3 in 13, Pitman 2 in 4. bangers
When was he considered one of the Championship's stand out performers?! I hope he plays well today, but I have to say that I don't rate him at all based on what I've seen so far. After HE destroyed ManU by himself. Brizzle Jordan
I wouldn't say he was one of the top championship performers. He was a good but inconsistent player for S****horpe who were full of average players. Obviously he has alot more to give but he needs to get a good run in the side to be able to find some form and confidence.

Kid in the Riot
I would have thought that goals per game ratio might also be important, Maynard 3 in 13, Pitman 2 in 4. I'm not saying it's the right decision but today McInnes, and Millen before him, play Maynard as the lone man as he has pace and skill to beat the last man whereas Pitman isn't that sort of striker. Maynard as lone striker has worked before away from home at Leicester twice that I can think of (3-1 and this season) Let's see how it goes today

Red-Robbo
Maynard as lone striker has worked before away from home at Leicester twice that I can think of (3-1 and this season) Sadly, that's the only time it worked. Not recognising that, was one of the factors that lost Millen his job.

My point is by the time Pitman gets his a long awaited chance and Maynard is long gone Pitman might do the same run his contract down and good strikers are like rocking horse shit. Compared to Pitman Maynard might be pacier but he hasn't got real pace never has never will.
