The problem is though twice tonight Milner found himself in acres of space close to the by line with no defender very close to him and body's to spare in the box and passed the ball to Italians both time and that has been the story of his tournament. Unfortunately if England's one decent tactic of whipping the ball into the box doesn't come off they have absolutely nothing else to offer in a creative sense. I haven't said he's done anything special at all, we just haven't got anyone else to play there for 75 minutes. Woollcott obviously isn't trusted to start that role,Hodgson sees him as an impact player when defenders are tiring. Ashley Young has been worse so far than Milner imo.
