Woollcott obviously isn't trusted to start that role,Hodgson sees him as an impact player when defenders are tiring. Ashley Young has been worse so far than Milner imo. I agree with all you say above but the difference is we all know Young is capable of scoring/creating (as shown in one of the warm up games) Milner almost certainly isn't.
