Hillsborough

Cunnyfunts statement was somewhat uncalled for but your response is rather immature. There is no doubt that there was a massive cover up which is a shameful chapter in Britains social history which will never be erased. However fans did surge forward, some fans did behave like animals, some fans didnt have tickets and some fans were drunk, many 100,s of fans tried to forge away into a section of the terraces that was already over capacity...

There is absolutely no doubt that the Authorities, the organisers, and the police failed those poor people who lost their lives and were instrumental in the disaster due to piss poor and non existant organisation, and then instigated a dreadful and despicable cover up to their immortal shame

But I and my companions that day know what we saw and a damning report as justified as it is wont change those images. Some fans were in part responsible for the events which unfolded in our opinions.

Like I've said before, I don't know full facts about the events of 1989, but how I see it, with the limited knowledge that I have, it seems to me that the blame cannot be pinned in one place. Many, many facts contributed to the events that happened day, and I hope that the releasing of these documents will mean that families of the deceased will gain some peace, however small.

Would that be a fair thing to say?

I wish I could comment on this subject, but, I've got to admit that I'm pretty ignorant about the whole event. I do not know enough facts about the event to argue anyones point. I do have an opinion to a certain extent, but it might be unwise to express them.

This is a democratic country where everyones opinion should be respected even if it differs wildly from their own. The Romans brought the Forum concept to Britain so its soldiers and citizens could express their opinions without fear of retribution. as long as your not personal or vexatiously acrimonious to another member whose opinion you might not agree with then feel free to express it.

W a n k e r. Do you feel the need to say sorry now you uneducated *****.

Im just passing on information told to me by people who were there. Witnesses to the event. People rushing forward, trying to get into the ground at all costs, regardless of the consequences.

You have to admit Liverpool have a history of shouldering blame. Take Heysel when their fans were the protagonists in the attack on the Juve section, causing the stand (all be in poor condition) to collaspe and also the Suarez affair in which they embarrassed themselves.

Don't get me wrong though, what happened was tragic and nobody should go to a football match and not come home.

One more thing.. You call me uneducated, yet your swearing exemplifies a distinct lack of vocabulary.

Both Dave and I were, we both "get it" perfectly well thank you very much.

If you were there, maybe you would have "got it" as well.

Yes quite equitable..and remember this final verdict if you like is just one mans opinion arrived at after considering all the evidence he had at his disposal.

I sincerely hope too that the Liverpudlian families can put this to rest and find some solice, they have been vindicated by the findings whether you believe them to be right or wrong...I very much doubt though that they will let it go whilst survivors of the familes involved and those in the Authorities involved are still alive.

Im afraid that justice will not be served any time soon if ever.

As for the involvement of a certain Iron Lady in all this.... I doubt very much if she knew too much about it at all. The TV series of Yes Minister although perhaps not a good analogy under the circumstances, is uncannily accurate when it comes to rhetoric and propaganda in government at the highest level.

were you wearing a big black hat whilst you were "there"?

No I was getting crushed in a crowed being shoved forward by idiots who were not thinking, luckily I was near the edge and was able to get out.

Any more drivel you want to post?

I hope MacKenzie throws himself off a cliff and the sun does a full page headline 'WE LIED' tomorrow.

The Sun newspaper was fed lies by the Police. This newspaper/Police interaction is very unhealthy and helped lead to the closure of the News of the World. It's alright having the benefit of hindsight about gross Police corruption but if you were a senior Sun journalist at the time, what reason would you have had to doubt the word of senior Police involved with Hillsborough ????!!!!! What is certain is that within the ranks of our Police are propagandists that would have made Hitler's chief propagandist - Dr Josef Goebbels - blush.

Glad to see the unions doing what they think is right and standing up for their principals, at the end of the day when we cast our political vote we realistically have 2 choices, the worst of 2 evils? It's not all about trying to bribe the country with tax cuts you know

or telling the country you support the working man, who helped put you in power and then preside over 12 years of allowing the gap between rich and poor get wider.

...I get it very well. I dont disagree with the findings, but like I said some fans were in part responsible....and dont start getting verbally aggressive with me over something you dont understand and obviously are incapable of properly reading.

I dont doubt for one minute your insulting bravado would soon dissapear if you were sat here infront of me now........ carry on with your masturbation session and leave reasoned discussion to the grownups.

John Smith was a shoo in to win the '97 election, unfortunately he died which led to Blair and the 'new' Labour landslide. JS was a socialist and would've done more for the working class, Blair never pretended to be.

You're trying to give credit to Gordon Brown for all this but it was the persistence of the relatives of the Hillsborough victims that brought about the Independent panel and the apology from David Cameron today.

NO, I'm telling you that you were wrong when you implied that the Labour party did nothing to help the victims. You said they "had 13 years in office in which to order an inquiry over Hillsborough"

The Labour party were the party that ordered that inquiry, so what have you to say about that now?

Well that we will never know, several things are very clear though, firstly he wouldn't have stayed in power for long without cozying up to big business and taking their money, even the Red Ed's know that because they will never fully support the unions and their planned co-ordinated strikes.

Who are you trying to kid, Thatcher was the prime minister,3 police forces which report to her lied, lied and lied.

She hated us football fans with a passion, her and her puppets covered it all up.

But if course, it was only 5 years before that these same police forces helped her destroy the miners,

So I imagine it was a favour for a favour.
