UK0wnag3
Well done James. I knew I'd get a quick reply to my post about Fontaine. On a serious note - Cotts may have to play him if no one else is available. If he does play he might surprise everyone by having a good game. Strange things have happened before. Little late for Christmas miracles, isn't it?
Aizoon
That's the problem. Orient don't want us to come when we're hot and can take as many people with us as possible, they want us shut down to a crappy Tuesday night in February when they're hot again, with about two dozen of us going at the most. And their injured players are fit. We should push this with the FL.
Red Ferret
Weather here in London is fine. Got a bit rainy for a moment but has stopped now. Barely a breeze My diagnosis: Orient are taking the piss
Cider red
And their injured players are fit. We should push this with the FL. Indeed. This just smacks of orient being cheats IMO. I'm sure the fa could have someone assess the floodlighting, and I would bet it could be repaired in a couple of hours.

PolskRed
Any chance you can go and see if there is any damage and let us know if it's true I will try to get to the ground this afternoon, at work at the moment in North London but will hopefully get to the ground before dark. T R
Here is a picture of the damage taken from Orient's message board. The bloke on the phone is asking if anyone has got any candles, can't see what we are doing up here, keep cutting the wrong wires! While they are up there they could do a bit of painting. PolskRed
Any ideas then......???????? Not sure but there must be some procedure in place for these instances, surely Orient can't just phone the FA and call it off?
Aizoon
To look on the bright side, anyone who's bought advance rail tickets can have an evening in London. It might have been S****horpe
Chivs
Here is a picture of the damage taken from Orient's message board. What's that Mr Hearn? Hit the light with my hammer. Won't that, errr, break it? By the way, the Olympic Stadium does look nice from up here.

RiverRed
Make you wonder just how quickly they would've fixed the 'broken' lights if their next home game was a bumper pay-day match against Man U in the Cup.

PolskRed
Game gets called off over Xmas and New Year, due to bad weather. Hardly the biggest news in the world, and not totally unexpected is it? Really? Also we dont have any grounds to talk about 'Floodlight's' being an issue... As we have not had any wind of any note and the game is called of due to floodlight damage caused by wind, I would say it is unexpected. As for not being the biggest news in the world, if you are a City fan and were going, I guess it is pretty big news? Honestly can't remember though, have we ever had a floodlight failure that some would say has suited us at the time? I understand if you go back to the Liverpool game but not sure of the score at the time (0-1 1-1?), the floodlights have been changed since then and it was years ago... Alex#40
Just seen the "carnage" on sky news. If what they showed was accurate its one light from one of the many floodlights and Orient say it couldn't be repaired as they couldn't get anyone at this time of year! You couldn't make it up. It does stink a bit?!?
Us_and_Them
Hardly early, some of us are already en route to London for New Years, purely for the game tomorrow! Oxford Red
In fairness their keeper is out for 3 months and Batt for 4 months so they won't be involved in he rearranged game in any case! Gives em time to sign some emergency loans though... It does seem like they werent in any hurry to fix it.

Oxford Red
Hopefully its played in Feb or I might be a bit shafted. I have got tickets and have to unfortunately spend last 2 weeks of Jan in California for work so I'd be buggered for going. Bit disappointed all up. pikeysrobins
Maybe it's Orient's way of stressing their need for a new stadium as they push for promotion. Now's a good time what with injuries.
