RedM
I have a horrible feeling that Karma will decree he scores the goal that ends our unbeaten start. We'd better insist that he downs his bubbly before the match then!

WTFiGO!?!
The great man wasn't even in Vale's squad on Saturday, is he injured ?Not entirely sure, Our Masons Arms man did suggest that he was slowly becoming a cult hero up there despite not being certain he'd make the match day squad. Maybe he is a natural born cult hero, who naturally draws football supporters into his praise-worthy powers, using the unan force and just scores one of the most important goals in the history of football for a laugh? It does make sense if you think it through.

pride of the west
Don't understand how handing over a bottle of bubbly is tinpot? If it was a tinpot gesture then we'd hand over a capri sun or something?
Admin phantom Posted September 16, 2014 Admin Report Share Posted September 16, 2014 Apologies if I missed it, but what was the total amount collected? Does anyone know if it all went on the champagne?
Peter O Hanraha-hanrahan
Apologies if I missed it, but what was the total amount collected? Does anyone know if it all went on the champagne? I thought most of it went to charity. The champagne is merely a gesture of gratitude for bringing so much laughter. They hero worship Dean Windass for a start.

RedYoshi
I'm sure most people have already seen this in the match thread, but just in case (and as it also deserves to be posted in as many places as possible) here's the special cider on tap at the Mason's Arms: Just posted on FB from someone in the Masons arms... Absolutely top work.

Dollymarie
I am waiting on a response from Scott. I texted him yesterday and have sent him a whatsapp today, don't want to harass him, I know he had the stuff with him yesterday. As soon as i've heard, i'll be sure to come back here and let you all know.

Steve Watts
Thankd Dolls.... Another well written piece by the Evil I see, referring to the shed at the end of the Ashton Vale stadium, and no mention of the money going to charity...in fact it seems to be a slightly expanded version of the Stoke newspaper article. Lazy journalism at the Post? Never!

Dollymarie
Unsporting Jim? A bit like celebrating when another Bristol club narrowly fails to reach the top flight and hailing Dean Windass as a Gas hero. I think the phrase 'if you can't take it don't dish it out' was invented for the Gas. Are you reading my mind? I have just posted pretty much the exact same thing on the bristol post website. HoldenBall
Wonder what the guys view is on mocking banners being draped over bridges on the M4 the day the city narrowly failed to get a club into the top flight? The day the non-degenerative club almost made the city proud? If they want unsporting they should look a bit closer to home..

I think the phrase 'if you can't take it don't dish it out' was invented for the Gas. Spot on Peter. If I remember rightly, Windass scored the "most important goal in Rovers history". Such was their fear that we would leave them behind for good (oh, hang on....). Let's also not forget the banner they took to Cardiff in 2007 after they pipped us in the J.P.T., it went along the lines of "......beating City to get here - priceless". Yet more hypocrisy from the 14ers.
