Rochdale Vs Bcfc Matchday Thread

Nobody bothered to listen to Cotterill when he said this could be our hardest game yet? Nope, little old Rochdale should just roll over shouldn't they.

I'm more frustrated that he hasn't brought on Agard or JET, we lost all creativity second half, taking off Freeman didn't help that. We took our foot off the gas, absolutely no pressure on their men like we did in the first half. Leaves me feeling a little deflated. But still, another point, still unbeaten, onto the next game.

Very disappointed, not so much with the result, but the performance in the second half. Sounds like we were second best and overall lucky to get the point.

If nothing else, was surely worth putting some fresh legs on up front to give them something different to think about.

Nobody was expecting them to roll-over, if it had finished 1-1 with us having had a go at winning it, nobody would be unhappy. But when we are clearly second best not using your subs (esp. with the quality we have) is just obstinate. Made no sense against Orient and no sense today, hence the frustration.

Mate, what would now be posting if had brought on Agard or Jet and we had lost?

The problem is that some think all we have to do is turn up and the opposition rolls over.

And then spit their dummies out when that inevitably doesn't happen.

The reality is that we have lost just one from the last 17 league games - which aint too bad.

SC knew this would be a tough game, they are a decent side and deserve some respect.

A point gained, not two lost.

Well said that man!!

Exactly it's just frustrating that we have the firepower but didn't use it

Agree. It is a disapointment but we are against another proffesional outfit that are organised and determined to stop us playing.. Add to that we are the big spenders in this division and teams are going to be right up for it against us.

Although annoying On to the next one and chill people..

Unbeaten after 4 games and got a point from a team who hit 5 midweek, yeah, terrible that.

Unfortunately it seems we have the usual fans who look at the oppositions name and think 3 points, they are in the same league as us and we got a point away, be happy.

A good point away from home is when you've been under the cosh from the first minute, defending non stop for majority of the game etc etc We sounded like we had the better of the 1st half, and then decided to take Freeman off early in the 2nd.

That was a game I fully expected us to go on and see out in the 2nd half, but we allowed them back into it and then when SC could have changed things to give us more threat going forward, he keeps it the same, and without a cracking save at the end, would have gone home empty handed.

I'm just surprised at Cott's choices with regards to subs at the moment.  :nono:

Totally agree with your top sentence cynic but it's frustrating when the club invest a lot of money in the squad and not use them. Will have to wait for the Cotterill interview for his reasons.
