Aizoon
So smaller teams should not be allowed a chance to play at the national stadium? What elitist bullshit. They are. They just have to win something worthwhile - like the FA Trophy
Big C
It's a pointless Micky mouse trophy with crowds so small in the earlier rounds you might as well play it over at Ashton Park. It's a distraction from our main focus of the promotion and runs the risk of players getting injured or suspended. Will I be going to Wembley IF we beat the Gills. Too right I will be :-)
WithywoodRed
Depends where we are later on in the season tbh. If our form isn't the best and we are not looking likely to get automatic promotion I would rather save my money and go to Wembley for the play offs. Aizoon
Its supposed to be the national stadium where the England teams play and where domestic cup finals from the FA Vase, FA Trophy, FL Trophy (paint pot), FL Cup, and FA Cup should be held. Thats as it should be. Its a moot point if play-offs should be held there, but its pretty clear to me that semi-finals and meaningless "trophies" such as the charity shield shouldn't be given the status of a national cup final and should be held elsewhere in areas of the country which both sets of supporters could easily reach. If England teams and the domestic finals including the play-offs weren't held there, it could render the FA bankrupt..........not sure if thats a good or bad thing. Three (at least) good points there
