Mike Hunt-Hertz
Do they still make those stripe elasticated 'snake' belts that most of us had when we were kids? They were great BTW ... Wouldn't mind one now come to think of it, the S shaped 'snake' clasp was a great little design, simple and effective. Great for putting around your turban..."You damn coolie!" (Shakes head). Aztec bars. Bristol Rovers....whatever happened to they?

They were a chewy fruity sweet bar. Also Corona lemonade: "You were a bubble in a bottle of what?".See also: Mini Dart buses, those cars that looked like a Jaffa orange, footballers with perms, kids playing 'kerbie' etc etc. Aah, the good old days. RedLionLad
Well if you delivered to Sea Mills around then you'd have delivered to our Mum and Dads. Sorry if you didn't get all your emptys back, our Dad used to use them for his home brew because of the pressurized bottle tops!!! . We had one guy who could carry 12 bottles at once (a whole crate)......4 between his fingers and 2 under his arms......and they were heavy bottles back then. 22A
"Today's cigarette is a Bristol" not only has the brand disappeared, but presumably the 45rpm single the advert was on. Honest kids, that's the sort of thing you'd hear over the Tannoy, (not PA System) at the Gate.Marathon bars, Safeway supermarkets, rum & raisin Cornetto; other flavours still available, but not that one."Chloros" - nothing better than that for cleaning your toilets in the 50s & early 60s, then it simply disappeared.Johnny Walker Black Label whiskey - only available abroad.
