How come the umpires aren't spotting these oversteppings in real time? They did years ago. Is this the sign of things to come with technology being used in sport. Are officials just going to rely on that in future and not bother to look out for things themselves in real time.

TMS just had a long discussion on this, from what I caught it appears the consensus of umpires is to not call no balls unless part of a wicket review, to avoid the risk of an umpire being caught on a replay calling one incorrectly.

Michael Holding was saying that it doesn't help the bowler if he's repeatedly overstepping and only finds out when he takes a wicket.
