Stopped myself and one other going now. The  policing was a shambles last time. I had drove down from the midlands and parked outside a freinds in cathys. When trying to leave the escort to go back to the area we were pushed back in to the escort to which my mate stacked it! Second attempt to leave we were forced back in again,(who knew Cathys was  pronounced Ka-Tayz???! )It took 3 attempts to leave, the final attempt involved being ided by a Sergent to prove we were from Worcester and not going on a train to Bristol!

I expect the club had very little say in this so let's not slate them too much. The lack of notice could have been helped I'm sure though.

the club never stick up for the fans though do they, seems they just lie down and let their supporters get screwed (again)

At least come out and say 'it's ******* ridiculous but nothing to do with us' or 'stick your tickets up your arse cardiff, we refuse to let this happen again' but they don't and never will.

Just recreate the match at home. 

The missus has already agreed to make me wait 30 minutes for a coffee at half ttime, throw cups of piss at me from the other sofa and hit me at random intervals with a baton for no apparent reason. 

Job's a good un 

 

My mate is a copper. I could get him to come round to your house in full riot gear, put on a Welsh accent and beat the **** out of you for added realism if you want?

Now you're talking, after the game do you think he'd mind locking me in the living room for half an hour, then kettling me in the kitchen before escorting me to the bedroom via the town centre, whilst telling me it's for my own safety?

Can't wait to see what the arrangement will be for Disabled and Carer supporters?

Was looking forward to this one....but will be a real inconvenience to gave to go to services, set Joe's wheelchair up, queue for my ticket, put wheelchair back in boot, etc...then get to ground.

Having said that, we will probably have a completely different arrangement!!!!

Exactly this, went to Ninian Park many, many times and other proper grounds; no time for this yes sir, no sir bogguts though. Hate being told what to do.

He could also make you collect the remote control from the petrol station before the game starts.

The sad thing is that the Police will see it as a victory if hardly anyone turns up.

Its also embarrassing because fans of other clubs watching on Sky will be wondering why our support is so shit for a so called derby.

Makes my blood boil this.

Not looking for sympathy at all and I've read how frustrating this is for loads of city fans but just sharing how this effects me.

As a season ticket holder living in Brighton  I book as far in advance for trains as I can as I would never be able to go if booking on the day. Having originally booked trains for 24th I was a bit pissed off when the game moved to a Monday. No chance of a refund for that.

Have since booked 2 days off work and arranged train travel to and from Cardiff on the Monday. Can't get back home on Monday so sorted accommodation overnight to return on Tuesday. So with a little over 2 weeks notice our lovely Welsh police announce their intentions and I've got to work out how to get to junction 33 from Cardiff on public transport!!! 

Maybe the home end is the best option? Not happy at all. 

Looking forward to Brighton away (home).

we will be able to watch it in the new sports bar at Ashton gate we may even be allowed upstairs unless of course its rented out to a privelidged group within the club again, and of course this all depends on if they have the screen repaired in time!

Perhaps the authorities should arrange free coach service from the train station to the service station for those fans that have been messed around with short notice. Why couldn't something like this have been done?

This is when we need a fans union so we can demand this kind of thing, otherwise we go on strike.

Why dont you and your mates stay in Bristol to watch the game? Surely you would have more fun in sports bar at the gate than going all the way to Cardiff to sit in a pub ? Unlucky scarfers?? Exactly, totally agree.

I went to Ninian Park five times, never saw us lose there. Proper ground, proper atmosphere, proper day out.

Yep it could be a bit urgent outside the ground before and after the game but it was pretty easy to stay away from trouble.

Back then though, feeling intimidated when following the chaps away was pretty normal and part of the experience, the home fans everywhere saw it as part of their role to make away fans feel uncomfortable.

I was totally up for going to this game but not now. I'm not going to be told where and when I can travel in a free country when I've done nothing wrong.
