sodburyred
I'm not in favour of SP but he could be a good fit for City. He failed at forest but about that time so did Mcclaren and he's done ok since. Hardly anyone wanted Cotts and he turned out ok. If SP is appointed he should come with a clean slate. MATT BCFC
Could be a good choice to keep is up as he's clearly a very good motivator and he always seems to make a good start wherever he's been. Not my first choice but we could do a lot worse!
desert
Come on the guy is just not very clever. Up and at em team talks work for a month or two and then it all starts to decline as the ideas run out. Would be a big backward step to appoint Pearce no matter how great he was as a player. You would have to seriously question our boards decision making processes if he was the final outcome.

BobBobSuperBob
As for SP as our revolutionary 'head coach' Gonna say again I'd even have Appleton, Clarke ..... Even the man in the hat at Exeter .... Probably even Dopey Darrell before I'd have Pearce Dear god no , seriously NO NO NO

ashton_fan
Looking at the betting now the only short-priced ones that are remotely possible are Pemberton and Warnock. Warnock has said in the past he would like to manage us although I wouldn't see him as anything but short-term. I reckon if results go our way Pembo will stay in charge for the rest of the season. RedJim
Pearce would be one of the worst possible appointments we could make. A complete disaster. For all the reasons mentioned above. The thought of this happening terrifies me!

handsofclay
Probably mentioned elsewhere in this thread, so do forgive me for not checking thoroughly, but if Pearce does get the job it would mean our last three managers had all managed Nottm Forest in their previous managerial appointment. If this comes to pass it might well pay Dougie Freedman to start looking at houses and schools in this area pretty soon.
Redman91bcfc
For all the people not wanting SP, you know that if he does get appointed he'll end up doing well just like SC did.
'Orns
May be putting 2+2 together her, but Coral, who seem to be the most certain are one of the bookies that have a slot on talksport (with Brazil at around 0830), maybe someone at talksport is talking, SP is on there a lot..... Esmond Million's Bung
Given the choice of sticking with what have at this moment in time (Pemberton/Elliott) and twisting with Pearce, sadly although not the top of my choices, I would definitely stick, Pearce IMO is not the man the for us. BobBobSuperBob
Pearce on Talksport - Adrian Dumdum immediately asked him 'Are you going to be the next Bristol City manager' SP said he has had no contact with us in either direction Dumdum then asked him if he'd be interested - SP said 'If the phone rang you'd certainly go and talk to the football club'
