Based on his goal scoring record and the fact countless managers at Derby didn't play him there?

2 goals in his last two games perhaps they should have, I will give him more than 1 game before writing him off, some players just don't fit at certain clubs, he wouldn't be the first player to go to another team and be a revelation.

Sky Sports reporting £6m accepted from Boro too

I find it interesting that Bryan and Flint will have gone for fees that are loose change to Premier League clubs yet it appears that no such club was prepared to pay those sums - unless there is sudden last minute interest in Bryan.

If that is the case it tells us something about how highly rated they really are.

My only thing with Pring is he has never played close to league level before. Means naught because Kelly has not either would just be nice to give him a bit more experience first. Has stood out whenever I have seen him though. Kelly I think would pass with flying colours. Maybe a bad game every 7-8 but they’d get fewer. He has too many good attributes to fail consistently imo.

Be brave is the way to go. I’d be trying to get Walsh more minutes too. A big fan of quite a few coming through the ranks.

I would not be adverse to selling Taylor as I’d rather just play Pato in that role. Idk about 10m but I would like to see another forward with pedigree brought in. I do mean that in the more than 4m range. Would not mind another foreign signing either if it has to be. When we put in the effort we get them right(Kodjia Fam).

Just don’t think Taylor brings much to the table. Clever little player when he gets time and space but not afforded that at this level often. Pato is either all or nothing. Djuric seems like he is leaving so we are really relying on Weimann, Eisa and Diedhiou. A bit worried. Like I said worst case wouldn’t mind a top young prem player.

I am a big fan of the younger players coming through too. I wouldn’t worry a bit if we had Kelly and Pring as our LB options.

Gutted for Max if we’re bringing in Stephen Henderson rather than keeping him around the first team squad.

I wonder if it’s time for Taylor to move on and for us to realise a profit. Now we are looking stronger across attack minded midfield I wonder whether we’d think hard if a strong bid for Pato came in before the deadline. He has flashes of brilliance but goes missing during games and when we’re on a bad run. Also not sure there’s the work rate that LJ demands.

Alan Nixon saying we are trying to auction but Villa offer is £4m plus add ons, Boro ‘not bothered’ and too dear for Newcastle.

I ******* hate villa...mugged us off with kodjia and we are dealing with them again...I guess it is needs must for a player that wants to leave with one year left  but would love them to stay down again and next season no parachute payments and their financial position worsens

Poor Rafa. What he has to work with up there is an absolute joke.

It does make you wonder why he is still their as totally agree...must be lots of top clubs that would love to have him on board...I tip them for relegation with Huddersfield and cardiff

How exactly did they mug us off?

They paid £14m!

The way their twitter announced Rondon today, was like they'd just signed Benzema FFS ?

How uninspiring can you get.

For what it is worth I will miss joe...think he is a very good footballer...whether kelly is ready or not remains to be seen for me and will take those closer to clubs word for him...you can’t buy experience and joe has 3 years as a very competent left back in this league

I may be wrong but is not a huge chunk of that still unpaid 2 years later

Don’t understand why he is staying unless he gets a big payout if sacked.

I believe he has to pay them a big sum if he breaks his contract. Ashley won't sack him as it will cost him.

It has been reported that he has been offered £100m to spend if he signs a 3 year contract but that £100m would itself be spread over 3 years.

Rafa also wants money spent on the academy and training ground but Ashley is refusing.

I would severely doubt that to be true.

Villa will have honoured the terms of the payment profile without doubt - otherwise they would be facing an embargo.
