.....Gas call for investigation of steward and police conduct and treatment of Gas fans... Cs gas. Punches & Headbutts alleged..

Having seen another vid in addition to this, it's pretty damning when the PV steward throwing punches is dragged back by a Police Officer and a Steward and thrown to the ground.

That's unusual. I accept there was possibly provocation, but the steward threw 5 or 6 haymakers and the Police Officer grabbed him straight away.

He is clearly seen being escorted by the Police out of the stand.

Who knows what was said, but blimey, there were at least 2 stewards who completely lost the plot.

Rent-A-thug spring to mind.

Be interesting to see if any of them are charged.

It might be a bit too early to accuse Rovers this time.

I believe that one steward was arrested, presumably the one throwing punches.  Port Vale fans have said that the stewards are "rent-a-thug" types, who enjoy a ruck to the extent that they try and provoke people to react. Throw some kids who've had a few shandies into the mix and it's not going to have a happy ending.

City stewards in the away end, obviously.

I'm sure you jest, however I have no doubt whatsoever that City fans, without a game on Saturday, en mass, converged on the Port Vale match day staff hut, over powered the stewarding department, relieved them of their high vis attire and waited in situ to attack these poor, innocent, family club supporters.

They seem to be complaining that the net wasn't moved which is what I was told. I imagine the stewards told them to bugger off into the mass swathe of empty seats to their right. Maybe they don't know which way is right?

Now I understand why the stewards didn't move the net, they didn't need to move the damn thing!

Normally it just stays attached to the goalposts.

Plenty of seats in this picture mate...

Most of those seats had a crap view because of the pillar.  It's a pretty dire place to go to, but having made the effort and paid for a ticket, surely it's reasonable to expect to get a decent view in a stand which was nowhere near capacity?

All joking aside, a gas supporting friend of mine was caught up in this and has ended up on crutches for a couple of weeks through no fault of his own. As he's a self employed plasterer, that's a real problem for him.

I've been told there were not enough seats in the assigned area and that the stewards were telling people to sit down when there was nowhere to sit and it kicked off from there.

They MAY be the innocent party for a change?

Sags claiming that pepper spray was used against them. Do we have that #DMS @Bristol Rob?

Yeah, they are doing a special voucher promotion for the Fulham game where you can get in addition to the pepper, a West Country created mixed fruit fizzy drink with added electricity.

The Pepper Spray and Tazer combination awaits.

30 supporters ejected of the ever-the-victim, family club Tinpot FC.

Surely worth a points deduction? :fingerscrossed: ;)
