Of course, as they're '30 years behind', it would be a bowl, washing board and a mangle up there. Not even a twin tub! (I seem to know far too much about washing machines ).

Come on over Daryl, you know it makes sense. ;)

it fell through because they couldn't meet their share of the fiances,  The UWE asked for proof, they couldn't so they pulled out trying to save face, hence the UWE being in the dark and still willing to go ahead wit the project,

Ever since WAQ and Hamer have been in charges they've been trying to whore themselves to try and find investors to pay for the UWE, they didn't find any, the shit is still hitting the fan and the money is running out fast,

unless they get a cash injection from the family then the shit really will hit the fan (the fact the father has only guaranteed the funding until Mar 2018 should be a massive concern)

They have to provide fiancés??

Is that because of the Arab involvement? Sounds dangerously like people trafficking to me.

Imagine it...

LJ: Oi! DARYLL. This kit is still soaking. Put it on a spin cycle for 30 minutes.

DC: Okay boss. Leave it with me.

30 minutes later...

LJ: I don't think this is going to work out.

DC: I did what you said. Come and look.

I tend not to read The Post these days because to be frank, it is horseshit, but Jack Vittles' Comical Ali reporting of their fortunes in it is always good for a laugh and true to form there are a couple of absolute belters here:

"Sky high expectations"

Seriously? From a club that plays in a ground that is easily one of the worst in the football league, can't apparently fund its own training ground & who have lost 7 out of 8, which he has described as a "sticky spell" bit of an understatement or what?

Perhaps it is being less than 16 points behind Shrewsbury at this stage of the season, eh?

My favourite though is their "top six fanbase' which is based on what, exactly?

Certainly not on actual crowds, Bradford, Pompey and Charlton leave them absolutely standing, whereas Blackburn and MK Dons are better supported plus Plymouth, who had a higher gate recently on the same day against Rochdale when they were rock bottom, would certainly average more with comparable results..

Utter propaganda or as I said earlier, horseshit, you choose..

You have to remember that they were told pre season that they would have a top 6 budget, so it's fair to assume that some people signed up for a season ticket in anticipation.

So they have a “top 6 budget”, “top 6 support”, finished top 10 last season and currently sit..... 15th!

Someone’s not doing a very good job, are they Darrell..?!

Clarke has made it clear that he hasn't got a top 6 budget.  I presume Hamer meant that Clarke was given a budget which should enable him to get the team into the top 6, which is a totally different scenario.

So it’s been bullshit all the way. Strange you’ve gone from the 6th richest club in England. (You’re fans ) to having nothing

I started in 66. The gate then was a better ground than the Mem now. Our team was better and we had a chairman with ground improvements that he would deliver. So 60 is about right.

Not in the EP yet though strangely.

I wonder if, were we to have a Leeds branch, and they had a City flag with a picture of, say, Jimmy Savile on it there would have been the same lack of coverage? I think not.

The pages would have been filled with outraged s*gs demanding we were closed down (and Ashton Gate given to them free of course)

Having been sat on the fence this week having heard that interview and seen what DC has said in tonight's BP you now have to fear the worse. Although not sure where the club goes from here.

Just listen to the DC interview, he's been shafted and is doing his very best to be loyal and put on a brave face on his dissapointment.

It clear DC has no better idea what's going on with the Colony let alone the Mem. than we do.

He's trying to be positive but it's still clear he has no idea if or when the infrasture promised will be delived.

Seems communication with DC is little better than it is with us fans.

Wael and Hani get your act together ...

Unbelievably disrespectful mate. To be fair, gas fans I have shown that pic to are equally as disgusted as we are.

We go round and round in circles. How anyone can still think it’s not the ALQs fault when they have ceased all communication since (and in the months before) is beyond belief. If it wasn’t their mess we’d have heard a lot more from them.

DC has basically told you in his interview who he thinks is to blame. The Fake Sheiks.

To blame for what?

Well, how about a failure to communicate in any meaningful way with the fans who pay good money to watch ...the string of broken promises such as top 6 budge, development of Colony for start of next season. Then there is lack of any real plan to develop or redevelop the Mem following the very poorly explained decision to walk away from UWE when 6 months before the landing lights were on. It's a shambles if I'm honest with debts building up and all charged on the Mem so the family risks nothing.

There was such good communication and trust to start with which created expectations and now silence is the means of communication. Then the hints from staff that all is not well and the rumours start to fly just as you would expect when people are worried about the future of their club.

I think most of us just need reassurance and to know there is plan for moving forward and when developments will happen.

I want to love the Al Qadis' but they make it very, very hard to do so that present.  For some the trust has broken forever but for most of us I think the family can save this situation by simply communicating a little.

JP, I've been there and you cannot fail to be aware of the significance, it's truly shattering. I don't mind admitting that I sobbed like a baby when I went there but certainly don't regret going.

If that’s the same photo that was posted on here a few years ago, it was put on Facebook with the tagline ‘Auschwitz Gas’.

Not the cleverest choice of words.

It chilled me to the bone if I'm being honest.

Nope. It did happen. TBF a lot of the older ones stopped it going on too long.

By all accounts it was sung late in the game when home fans were leaving the ground whilst their team were losing.

”Is there a fire drill” is often sung at other grounds in the same situation. It’s possible that some of their fans are just thick and, maybe like the ‘Auschwitz Gas’ fella, don’t have the brain capacity to think about their surroundings when doing this stuff.

If I remember correctly, the chant at Bradford was heavily criticised on their forum.

I do know why it happened and also why their older, wiser fans stopped it. it says something when the ones who started it either didn`t know about the significance or worse, didn`t care. If there is one ground that song does not get sung at, it`s that one and I would hope all fans of all clubs would know that.

You would hope so, unfortunately some scrotes don't seem to have a filter with regards to unacceptable behaviour.

Yep, well remember Aberfan chants at AG, replied with chants about the Swiss air dissaster.

There will always be misinformed/stupid people, and I was guilty of that back in the day, I'm sorry to admit.

Yeah, all very relevant for Rovers......UWE crash, trying to keep FAITH, but LIVING ON A PRAYER.

I'm completely and utterly staggered and angered by that complete tool and his flag, one of the most shocking and appalling atrocities and injustices ever inflicted upon humankind. He should be publicly shamed.

When visiting here some years back, just outside of Trieste, nothing but silence for the hour or so looking round and then nothing said for an hour outside as the impact of what we'd just seen hit home, and to this day i remember it vividly, glasses and human hair, unimaginable suffering and pain.

Of the 2 photos, there’s no excuse or explanation for the FW one, the Auschwitz one I hope was a misplaced show of compassion. Stupid and tacky but you can but hope. People are weird, when I went to New York we went to the 9/11 memorial and there were people taking smiley selfies in front of it.

BTW, to all, unless it's their photo, I don't think ITN has to justify someone else's stupidity just because they follow the same club. It's not ITN's fault.

I think he will have to walk, I doubt they can afford to pay him off. I think the board will be begging for a small up turn in their fortune to put Clarke back on people's radars Then they can screw someone for component whilst playing the "Out of out hands" card to their fans.

Worry ye not gasheads because I have checked and, since leaving Chesterfield in glory in 2015, one of the best managers in the country, Dean Saunders, remains available.

Actually I suggest you sack Daryl now and get Deano appointed before Arsenal comes in for him.

Don`t forget these are the same fans that thought it was funny to sing `Is there a fire drill?` at Valley Parade.

Did they really sing that? That is just about the most despicable chant I have ever heard from anyone.

As for the Fred West images, I can't imagine why they would want to be associated with him? He murdered and abused his own children amongst others, and ultimately was a coward and took no responsibility. Is that the image they want to portray?

Yes it might be only one or two of their fans, but I'm sure if anyone at this club was to attempt to display anything half as distasteful some of our fans would put a stop to it and rightly so.
