I can’t imagine in his defensive briefs Nige is telling Sykes to let the striker get 5 yards goal side of him.

Nowt we can do about it, outside of bringing in an U21 we are playing all our fit centre halves, we’re arguably playing our 1st choice LWB, the right side is up for debate right now

So sorry to be a pedant.........but how can someone spend 15 years as a top defender, and then not be capable of setting up and organising a defensive unit. I don;t get it?

You can coach and set them up, you can’t control what they do on the pitch.

That is true and haven’t looked like getting promoted in years and will be nowhere near this season but it’s the way to go for us as we haven’t a pot to piss in

They look like they totally understand their system both with and without the ball, loos like they’ve got 15 players on the pitch at times, such is the dominance
