Well the rewards scheme is launched...

So essentially we waited ages and they've just outsourced it? It's still a bit light on detail so it's hard to tell at the moment if it's actually any good

Glad it’s ready to go before R Gould leaves. Remember saying it was nearly completed. God we are going to miss him

But it's not! If you click on the link it says launches soon, for all the good Gould has done this is an unmitigated disaster showing how not to look after your most loyal fan base.

To bury the news on a "good news" day is pathetic

Ah ok . I see it differently. But agree the club have ballsed it up this season

What a shambles this is, they’ve actually launched it, or about to launch it, targeting it as a rewards scheme for this season. It’s February tomorrow.

I asked about it in September and was told it would be sometime in October. I’d completely forgotten about it and feel the club would have been better off doing the same thing but have one completely ready for the start of next season

They had a reward scheme that worked. It must have worked too well. I've absolutely no interest in any third rate third party cashback scheme. I'm already on topcashback. God knows why it took them this long to (not exactly) launch this.

I've read the announcement a few times trying to make sense of it

Apart from listing a few places where for every pound you spend you get points recognition, that announcement does not tell you anything

When does it start?

What points get you?

Essentially no further forward going into February

What a weird day to announce something that isn’t actually ready to announce.
Deadline day is all about proper announcements. Not some 2-bit we’re nearly there but can’t tell you exactly what when or how announcement.
Weird.

it's a reward scheme for 22/23... so do we get retrospective points / rewards for the games, purchases, etc, we have made in the last 5 months?

You're asking the wrong people sadly

Assuming that the club actually announce something of use you'd hope it will be answered

I would imagine so yes. Otherwise for example those with half ST would be deemed to be at the same level as season long ST holders, and that doesn't seem right

Having looked through:

- At least they seem to have held good and migrated the points from prior purchases

- However, the available rewards are slim pickings. Seven available that aren’t prize draws and we’re talking soft toys, key rings, bouncy balls. An easy thing to do would be to trade points for £ value in the shop via a gift card, and that’d then make it worthwhile

Overall, I’m pretty underwhelmed.

Pretty sure there's an option on there where you can enter a raffle where the winner, and only the winner, will be able to buy a Woolly Hat in Winter and also the opportunity to buy a Beach Towel in the Summer.

Sound like one of those Omaze things where you can win a house that various people have been unable to sell.

I've been to 11 games this season. 300 points. Is that right?

25 points per category A game, 50 per category B and 25 extra points for arriving an hour early apparently!

25 points deduction if you leave the Dolman early.

To be fair I’ve been to every home game this season and it’s telling me I don’t have my Sunderland and Luton badges!

Likewise Sunderland and Luton aren't showing for me as having attended, must be a wider issue with those 2 games

Just to add to this the rewards balance gets wiped on 31st May. Not unexpected but as the redeemable rewards are so limited here and considering the stock in the shop is limited, chances of anything new coming on have to be slim to none.

In effect, we’ve all been therefore given the chance to enter a raffle. Really poor form from the club.

Think this is the other way around. They'll let you buy the woolly hat in summer and a beach towel for Christmas

How do you set it up for your kids? If you have same email address for all 3 memberships? Just keeps bringing up my details.

Was thinking exactly the same.

In the past, I had to phone them up to merge all the reward points together.

I've emailed the club on the link on the rewards scheme page. I'm expecting a reply around summer 2024.?

So you’re saying I should order 3 bottle openers now!

You're close but not quite right.

The winners will have an opportunity to buy a wooly hat in summer and a beach towel in winter.

I would, the Unicorn, Teddy Bear and Keyring are now sold out. You have a choice of

- Pennant

- Bouncy Ball

- Badge

- Bottle Opener

- 10 months of a calendar

It has taken this long to launch and options are what Delboy would be proud of - cuddly toy, bottle opener, keyring and other tat they have presumably got lots of left in the warehouse.  Who sits in months worth of project meetings and thinks all this is an exciting new thing?

I'd rather have my £10 a season I think.

The prize draws are okay, but to spend your hard earned points(!) on Max O'Leary's gloves or an awkward birthday phone call from a player isn't for everyone.

Good ol City.

I can guess we can only hope that next season, the range of things you can use you points on is better, I.e. kit back in stock, etc.  but it’s a bit underwhelming to say the least.

I think the aspect of it that is good is that you can earn points outside of spending at AG and on club stuff. For example I had to book a hotel today, looked though and Best Western are an option, so I thought if I'm spending anyway then why not test it out and used the link to pay using my linked card. I think that will credit me 80ish points.

But I agree the crunch comes when it comes to what you can spend those points on. It's essentially little bits of merch or prize draws. I think they need to think a bit more about what people actually want there. Presumably it's mainly money off or the ability to use points on shirts, scarves, or any other stuff in the club shop.

Well I can't access the rewards portal, clearly I am doing something wrong.

It just hangs at the 'attempting to login' page'.

How can I be properly outraged by this if I can't login?

Worse than you think, to access the rest of the FAQs, you need to be logged in. Unfortunately with this being City, the 'what happens if you can't login' QandA isn't on the main page!

Maybe if you hold out and wait for sales before the end of the season, you’ll be able to use the points to get further money off.

Oh wait, that would make sense.

Oh wait, there’s **** all stock in the shop already.

Oh. Just “oh”.

I feel like my loyalty is well rewarded.

Being a bit cynical I already have multiple “loyalty schemes” through work, membership of other things, etc, plus the likes of Quidco, that I’m not sure I’ll be arsed to look at BCFC Rewards as my chosen purchase portal.

Couple that with the potential lack of things to use the reward point on, and I’ll probably ignore it once the initial points go on.

Sorry!

Yeh. Seeing as I only came back to the UK 9 months ago, I don't have that myriad number of schemes set up.

I suspect most STholders should just collect the points for attending then enter two or three prize draws at the end of the season.

Remember what Richard gold said at the hen and chicken forum, something along the lines of world class rewards scheme that all supporters would be excited about?

I think this is an admin error. If you call the ticket office they should be able to issue your food voucher and then you should have access to the loyalty scheme.

Laughable poor in almost every respect. Goodness knows who thought that up. Mickey Mouse doesn't begin to cover it.

Cue a favourite old-time emoji.

Probably a student project. You can't imagine anyone claiming a wage would be involved.

You consider the demographic of the season ticket holder and then choose rewards to match. And what adult bloke doesn't NEED a Unicorn.

...and the unicorns are SOLD OUT. Still, there's always the bottle opener.

The most laughable aspect is the disparity between the rewards and the cost of buying tickets. As if anyone paying £30 plus for a match ticket can't afford a bottle opener...if they really felt they needed one...I have to confess I don't.

This is terrible news. So not only am I unable to login, I have missed out on the first batch of Unicorns.

I am sure the good people will reply to my 'why can't I login' email before all of these other elite items are no longer available.

The actual state of it!

'Throw your support around with this Bristol city bouncy ball'

Imagine us all turning up at the Gate and chucking them around the concourse !

Absolute tinpot from the club. Lansdown et al talk about being premier league etc but this is embarrassing.
