If any of our players was doing what Cunningham did to get an opposition player sent off, we'd all be saying, "finally, City are doing the dark arts..."

There is a big big difference between darks arts and raking your studs down someones calf on purpose. I don’t know many who would support that.

I don't know where that's from but I hope you've reassured them that we did indeed enjoy the win.

And, to be honest, I'm enjoying the irony of a Preston fan whining about gamesmanship after a narrow victory over them even more. I'm off to mix myself a celebratory cocktail...

BBC webs*ite. And yes, I did hammer home that point.

In fact, on Radio Bristol NP said he quite enjoyed the edge to it, as long as it didn't go too far he had few issues with it. Still strongly dislike in particular Cunningham however.

Seen no NP presser after game yet

What a spiteful little club they are. Used to like them but they’ve become a nasty little tinpot outfit

Never liked them, they've been a horrible little club with jumped up fans for many many years. Forget what happened some time 30 years ago or something, they are one of my most disliked clubs

He's not going to get through eight games without a yellow. I know you're not supposed to do this but it might be about working out whether there is a tactical decision about when to earn the ban...

Unlikely….although he’s been on good behaviour in the league.  He’d gone 7 league games before today w/o a caution.

Stonkingly efficient shooting today. Just 6 shots on goal (PNE took 17), but 3 of those on target. Average xG per shot of 0.28 which is huge. The two goals naturally created the huge majority of that threat given where they were.

Sykes' in particular was obviously almost a 1.0 xG by itself.

Impressive stuff but if we want to bother the top teams we need to start adding quantity to this quality.

As well as the positive of three points, there were some additional positives;

Kalas getting some game time

Cornick looking lively (didn't realise he was a good header of the ball)

Atkinson back to his best

Scott just doing what he does

We won't be playing such a shitty, niggly bunch of gobshites again this season

Oh, and that sly, cowardly little **** Cunningham didn't get to gloat.

Fantastic they are complaining about our shithousery , all that time we couldn’t hold on to leads,  loads of 90th minute throwaway , including at Preston last year , learning well , the reaction at the defensive heroics in the 93rd minute was great to see

Agreed. Possibly things are balancing our as there was a clutch of game a especially at home in which our efficiency was lacking but we do need to add some quantity in the medium term.
