nick jones of hereford
Yes he was there, but with the players. When subs were preparing to come on he was with them & someone around me joked that Scott Murray was about to come on as sub.

Now Tinnion on the other hand I think is in danger of being promoted to the point of incompetence, done a great job with the academy but now as technical director seems to be struggling a bit.
Markular
I now live in NZ but the mere sight of Scott Murray gets me absolutely fired up at 4am my time, more than any coffee ever could. I'm fully aware I'm opening myself up to an innuendo battering!

Guest
Scotty does a huge amount of work with fans and charitable events, most of it in his own time. I’ve yet to hear anyone say anything negative when making a genuine request for a shirt for a raffle or an appearance in a charity game. The lad has even worn a Rovers shirt On the down side I did hear that he once forgot the players shin pads and had to visit a local sports shop to purchase a batch at an away game, don’t know if that’s true, but it sounds a bit Scotty

He's very popular with all the players, and I am sure that if we were to "get rid", that would be another handy stick to beat the club owners with.

Popular Post TinMan's left peg
This isn’t Ted Lasso, the kit man isn’t choosing the tactics! As other have said what Scotty brings is priceless. All the worries about Bristol Sport and the club losing its Soul, no connection with fans etc etc - Scotty is the epitome of heart, soul and connection with the fans. My kids know him as the guy who beeps his horn when we wave at him in his Bristol City Van when he’s driving around BS3. I remember on twitter years back a Mum was posting about her son taking part in a football team for kids with Down’s Syndrome. Scotty messaged her, said he’d pop down, the next day she puts up photos of him there coaching the kids, making them laugh, giving shirts as gifts. All on his own time and without any publicity from his side. I understand being frustrated with Jon or Steve or whatever but Scotty is a genuine club legend and in an era where we don’t have many left must be protected at all costs! 40 3 7

Sheltons Army
The reality is , I can’t think of someone I like , respect , and appreciate more , at our Football Club , from top to bottom. A completely infectious character , a truly top bloke with a heart of gold, and I’d suggest , has more City fire in his belly than , again , anyone at the club Maybe I’ve got it wrong 2
Open End Numb Legs
For anyone on here who has been through an unwanted redundancy, this 'fire everyone' attitude will never sit comfortably. Just because a sports or TV personality is well known, there seems to be an assumption that they earn £250k pa, can lose their job and still live comfortably. Legends like Scott are no different to the rest of us, they still have bills to pay and families to support. I hope he stays at the club as long as he wants to.

Nogbad the Bad
He's far more than 'just the kit man', he has numerous responsibilities. As well as all the positive observations in this thread I also saw him at the Sainsbury's collection area one morning loading a huge van with crates of drinks and enough food to feed an army, obviously en route to the training ground. Chatting and laughing all the while to the Sainsbury's employee who was bringing his huge order out and was clearly a City fan. No doubt it made the bloke's day - Scotty's always cheerful, always has time for the fans, and is a fantastic ambassador for the club. 14 2
