The Gaffer speaks after tonight’s defeat

Both the club and local radio interviewers are garbage.

Is Mark Sykes carrying a knock? Are you having to manage his minutes?

What were your thoughts when bringing Knight off?

TGH has picked up the clubs player of the month award, what led you to start Williams over him this evening?

How do you feel you can get the best out of TC in this system?

It is concerning that hes talking about players feeling sorry for themselves.

Its also concerning that he suggests the players may have been over loaded and that we don't want to lose our spirit and willingness to run.

I have posted my concerns about this previously because I felt as if he came in and tried to change too much at once. Revolution not evolution.

It's good he recognises these things however these cracks appearing are a concern.

I think the key here is “belief” “edge” “fight” - ie the things he classed as positive (which they were) are an inherent part of the group mentality and not down to him or the coaching team.

And if they’re “overloaded mentally” then Liam, sorry, you’ve got it wrong.

I forget who said that football is a simple game over complicated by idiots. That quote kind of resonates currently for some reason.

Got a real bad feeling about all this

Defo relegation battle unless the owners spunk some decent funds in

Not at all sure even that would work.

They may need in February to think carefully whether to retain Manning if results don’t dramatically improve

Perhaps owners don’t like the expense of The Championship and would feel happier in division 1

Who knows, because the owners treat the fans so poorly

I mean it is vastly more tactically varied and complicated than it once was at higher levels tbh.

We however need to strip it back a bit, gradually evolve go the preferred Manning style once the base is stabilised again. IMO.

3.5 year contract. Paying him out would be very very pricey, and a catastrophic waste of money. Not an option for me.

As much as I have been completely unimpressed so far, I have absolutely nothing against Manning and have felt the Lee Johnson comparisons have been totally unfair.

This, however, is peak Lee Johnson. If anything, I’ve coached them too well.

Absolute garbage.

Well sometimes good management acknowledges a poor decision and seeks to rectify it.

For sure, but imagine refusing to spend the Scott money on new players (nest egg etc.) then having to piss a portion of it on sacking a manager. Makes my stomach turn!

Where should the away fans sit?

First interview where he sounds and looks like someone a bit broken. It's starting to get to him imo.

Hopefully it turns around...but body language, tone and general demeanour speaks volumes.

Probably wonders what the **** he’s done
