It appears it has happened to 3 buses. Keep safe in London!

Russel square

Liverpool Street

Edgewere street (sorry about spelling)

The three locations in central London which has been involved.

I think so far it is a bus, and a couple of underground stations (which were first reported as explosions caused by power surges).

Horrible

BLASTS ON TUBES AND BUS

An explosion has "ripped a bus apart" just minutes after a number of blasts on London's Underground.

Scotland Yard has confirmed there has been an explosion on a bus in Tavistock Place. Union sources claim there have been reports of blasts on three different buses.

Witness Belinda Seabrook said she saw an explosion rip though a bus as it approached Russell Square.

"I was on the bus in front and heard an incredible bang. I turned round and half the double decker bus was in the air," she said.

Scotland Yard could not confirm reports of an explosion on a bus in Russell Square. A spokeswoman said police were at the scene and attempting to determine what had happened.

The entire Tube network has been shut down following the blasts at Aldgate, Edgware Road, King's Cross, Old Street and Russell Square.

It is understood several people have been wounded in the underground blasts, with one unconfirmed eyewitness telling Sky News he saw "bodies on the line".

Blast happened at Aldgate

British Transport Police confirmed there are "walking wounded" and said paramedics have responded to one report of a person classed as "life at risk".

"It's chaos, with people trying to work out what has happened," said a spokesman.

One witness said the packed underground train he was on was 200 metres from King's Cross when there was a huge flash.

The train stopped and people were using umberellas to smash windows of the trains. Passengers were led out of the train by underground staff.

He added people were milling around King's Cross covered in soot.

Clare Benson, 33, a city banker from Kensington, was on a tube at Edware Road where the second incident took place.

"I was in the last carriage at the back of the train nearest the tunnel when I heard a huge bang - you could feel it," she said.

"The lights went off for a couple of minutes and people were scared and wondering what to do.

"The drivers got out and were looking into the tunnel, then they announced that we should evacuate. My ears are still ringing and I was shaking."

It doesnt get any better.....

An eye-witness, Jim Millington, said it blew the top off the double decker bus.

"There's a bus, formerly a double-decker bus outside the BMA building and clearly destroyed by a bomb. And there are at least one or two fatalities laid out on the pavement...It must have been on the bus because the top deck is destroyed and what's below is not destroyed. It was a bomb on the top deck of a bus." There has been an explosion on a bus in Tavistock Square.

Shocking news sad.gif

It is apparently a Terrorist atack but there aim was to cause chaos and not to try and kill people which they have done both there are many people injured a few have lost lives. Very sad moment.

This is really serious; we are being told not to go out anywhere! It would be very surprising if there weren't a sizeable amount of fatalities.

Hope your ok mate and hope your friends and family are all well keep safe.

someone just told me a building has come down in Euston?

don't know if its related in anyway at all....

"Swindon Station has been evacuated

Swindon Railway Station has been evacuated due to a security incident. More information will be available as it becomes available."

And also just seeing this...

"Sussex Police say that Brighton Railway Station is about to be closed, along with surrounding roads, whilst an abandoned suitcase is examined. They say this follows routine checks of stations across the county. Nothing suspicious has been found in any of the county's other stations, which remain open. They hope to reopen roads around Brighton Station by half past eleven if the suitcase turns out to have been simply abandoned by mistake. "

Guessing its just routine...lets hope so.

From Sky - first confirmation of fatalities.

Police have confirmed there have been blasts on three different buses.

Two people are believed to have been killed in the Tube incidents and doctors say at least 90 people were injured at Aldgate Station.

Home Secretary Charles Clarke spoke of "terrible injuries".

ALL STAFF.

Staff may be aware of security incidents developing in central London today.

The Home Office advice is that under no circumstances should staff travel to London until advised that it is safe to do so,

I'm supposed to be going up to London next week for a course. Just called the office where I am supposed to be going and spoke to a woman on reception to cancel and they are right by Aldgate, one of the stations, she said it's chaos and she's staying put.

What a nightmare.

Just heard that Temple Meads may be closing for security reasons. Sounds like they are checking the station. Swindon already closed. sad.gifsad.gif

"There was a loud bang and the train ground to a halt. People started panicking, screaming and crying as smoke came into the carriage.

A man told everyone to be calm and we were led to safety along the track.

Everyone was terrified when it happened.

When they led us to safety, I went past the carriage where I think the explosion was. It was the second one from the front.

The metal was all blown outwards and there were people inside being helped by paramedics.

One guy was being tended outside on the track. His clothes were torn off and he seemed pretty badly burned."

Just sounds sick.

Have just grabbed this from a newswire...

"Arab sources who monitor Al Qaeda have told the BBC they believe today's explosions in London are almost certainly the work of Al Qaeda. "

"The first thing that's very obvious is the synchronised

nature of the attacks, and that's pretty classic for al Qaeda or

al Qaeda-related organisations. If we're talking about several

attacks on one day, then there's a good likelihood we're talking

about a known quantity here...The similarities to Madrid are

clear."

Kinda predictable..the bastards.

Where did you here about Temple Meads?

Mate just arrived at work from temple meads saying they are going to close the station and check it over. Swindon already closed, apparently and Brighton closed as they have found a suspect package. Reading may also consider closing.
