I'm Sorry But To label these guys Hooligans , Pah

I was there last night and yes the chanting was annoying and uncalled for towards

your own ....

But Intimidating Not quite , Been more intimidated when my 6 yr old has a strop.

I thought the worst chant was celebrating being near bottom and singing were s#*t and we know we are..

End off

My tupp'ny worth, reading this, is:

- BeNeRez and his mates went along to support their team and have a good time.

- They had too much to drink (they're not the first and wont be the last) and took things too far.

- BeNeRez has apologised and admitted they were out of order, several times.

- Should that not be the end of it?

No, absolutely not.

Stop coming on here and being reasonable. It might catch on.

Okay I've just had to clean up this thread.

What ever the personal views of a user, lets not get so personal to throw insults at members of their family and so forth.

We are all City fans at heart, lets not forget this.

Hey Benerez and Routabout Forget about it,  Channel that energy more productively and stand together for city..

Singing and chanting Optional he he

I think I'm usually known as one of the more positive posters. It looks like I am under some moral obligation to apologise, for standing by my principles on something that is not only close to the heart of genuine fans and also has ramifications within the law of the land.

Okay, I will drop it for now. But I will be taking a camera to matches from now on and those who are guilty of this in future will be photographed and their pictures sent to the club. It depends how they handle it, from there on.

what part of the away end was this???

and i must say i like to sing and get behined city but they have not

given me anything to shout about, and i am as many others are feeling

a little deflated by the fact we spend good money and time to watch players

earn their money and not looking like they deserve their wages,

bugger all to sing about i feel..

look you players what we spend without travel, a beer, food etc included

£22 to watch this crap.

and time spent doing this watching players who are just taking the peee

then they wonder why fans drift off.

no i don't feel like singing and those who don't should be left alone...

So now people shouldn't go away if they're not going to sing and shout abuse at opposition fans? They guy didn't complain about anybody doing anything except feeling intimidated and being accused of not being a true fan if you don't join in. I know exactly how he feels. Away games have always been fun, partly due to the higher proportion of people that sing, chant etc, but it never has been, and never should be, a prerequisite for going to away matches

I mainly go to away matches due to the fact it's easier for me to do so as I don't currently live in Bristol.

I've never personally felt intimidated but I can understand that others may do. And this is wrong. Bristol City FC has supporters from all walks of life, of all ages, and they are all part of the club. This ridiculous idea that fans should conform to a particular mould to suit others in not an acceptable one. And that they can be made to feel abused - even if some people call such abuse "banter" - is simply not excusable.

Confession time: I used to sing with the best of us, but since I've got married and I take my better half to games, I don't do this quite so much! I'm not one for standing up to show my demonstration of hatred towards the Gas either, because I couldn't care less about them. But that doesn't mean I'm any less a true fan than others.

The great thing about the club is that all types of people follow us. Just take a look at the forum community. I hope those who were having a go at their fellow fans at Forest last night appreciate not all of us want a support of mindless clones?

When I want to come in and tell you what a fool you are bein I just click one link. Simple and I get that reassurance of knowing that I am in fact of a far superior intellect and of sounder character than at least some others.

hahaha, you really are quite sad.

You seem like a complete utter c**k not a superor intellect to anyone, who the ###### thinks like that?

It's hard not to, when you read the posts I was reading last night.

It wasn't an attempt to big me up at all, quite the contrary, but then you obviously haven't seen that. Read, think, post.

Not to mention he wanted to come and tell my dad about me singing for 90 mins at city

I think hes the only joke in the forum!

No, I wanted to come and tell your father, how you were witnessed by a fair few, along with others in your group, inciting unrest. There is a marked difference.

I'll go back to ignoring you on this subject, as I have a feeling that somebody is just itching to ban me.

trying to be all hip and together,  then ruins it

Nope. I just thought I'd write it in a way that you might be able to understand. I'll take being not-hip, if that's a consequence of having a reasonable vocabulary.

I've never been on the forum before but having read a this thread I cant contain myself any more. Yes I was at Forest last night and the chanting (support is questionable) maid marion etc etc was laughable and frankly embarrasing. It is fact that when the chanting/support is focused on the team the majority join in and create an atmosphere.

It is without doubt that we all want the same thing i.e. City to win and coordinated support can only help the team in this regard.

As for the 'hooligan' antics of the boys I don't know, but I suspect, these for the same boys who when taunted by a couple of 'grown up' forest fans when leaving the ground shut up very quickly. Will you come to Ashton Gate etc...

Lets all get behind the team and sod the other teams supporters!

I was sat at the back behind the goal and one fan started to shouting somthink about the team and lansdown. Then another city fan started to shout back at him to get behind the team. Thing's started to get lairy and most of the city started stand up and look at the person who started moaning.

befor things got worst the steward's came and broke thing's up and the person who started moaning got ejected even thow he made up with the people he was argueing with.

lately thing's have been bad and this sort of thing happend at swansea.

i know things aint good at the moment but it seem's to me alot of city fan's are starting to not bother going any more because of the current situation.

I'm sure theirs been worst times? ohmy.gif

For that fact we had the police escort to our minibus..

Getting behind the team at 3-1 down we were still doing..

But singing:

Robin Hood

Friar Tuck

Maid Marion

Little john

Was a good laugh, everyone else thought so, i still think when we did the conga was a good laugh to!

but we do get behind the team all the time, and we do have a banter with forest fans.
