This gets better and better ...  Surely this was one we could have tied up well in advance.

If we aren't careful we'll not have enough players to start a game.

We don't know what discussions have taken place between Blackburn and Norwich, knowing that his time here was ending.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry?? Even SC seemed confident that Elliot bennet would be staying with us for the rest of the season.

I don't blame the lad, Lambert done a lot for him at Norwich and lets be honest he probably looked at our even smaller squad and realised enough is enough.

And who could blame him, probably sick of the pantomime going on at the gate and doesnt fancy league one, he might also get played in position there.

He said it was a shock to the system being asked to play wing back with all it's extra physical and mental expenditure.

Wonder what package and position Blackburn are offering.

They don't have parachute payments and they are in a god awful crap town.  Wonder why people always insist our location is a problem.

So if you were EB's agent, would you advise him to commit his future to BCFC well in advance of the end of his loan and transfer window? of would you wait to see what offers are on the table and what clubs are interested?

Easy this football manager business on a forum!!

our location in the bottom 3 doesn't help!!!!

Blackburn is truly one of the worst towns in uk, on par with Wolverhampton!

Thanks for the patronising tone.

We could, conceivably, have made it attractive enough for the lad in advance.  SC sounded positive enough.  I agree though, unless you have his signature, nothing is guaranteed.

We have a near-impossible task now of convincing anyone to sign.  We've allowed a thread-bare, poor squad to shrink further and, unless someone is prepared to jump to us first, who is going to commit themselves?

I can only see promising League 1 players or has-been journeymen coming now.

The lack of foresight and the risk we took letting good players leave first (in the summer) means our board (and SC) have shown their actions to be reckless. Simple.

Plenty of places not far from Blackburn that are pleasant to live...nothing to do with Bristol as a City...it's the club.

Perhaps he can see that we could quiet easily get relegated under SC and his 'system'....

So Baker, Williams injured. Moore, Cox and Robinson gone....and now most likely Bennett. Kinnel...

Sobering isnt it, just when you thought things couldnt get any worse, the size of our squad is pitifull, we are a couple injurys away from a real crisis.

We are at risk of playing our reserve keeper in an outfield position!

I take it he has never been to Blackburn....

There's plenty of good places to live near Blackburn and loads of football clubs around should he fancy a change. Add the Paul Lambert relationship and the state of City then am sure that the decision will be a no-brainer if the money's right.

It's a disgrace tbh...Fans make excuses for lack of signings...but no other club is having as many problems as us.

Great bunch of lads here...but they must be feeling like they have a mountain to climb right now.
