At the point that Scott had been sold, and it became clear that we weren't going to splurge any of the profits, I'm pretty sure that the consensus was that we'd be upper mid table, but not on a charge for the playoffs.
I do agree when Nige says Liam inherited a good situation, in that we have a young squad, full of potential, all with a great attitude, very hardworking and obedient. Manning doesn't have to cull or overhaul. That's a good footing. But it doesn't therefore mean that the expectation should be playoffs. I don't believe Nige would have got us in the playoffs, but you and I may differ on that?
I think this confirms that Nige was sacked for the reasons that we all thought: relationship with owner and NP's health. He rightly appears pissed off about it.
Our owner needs to ship out unfortunately thinks he's Mr billionaire big bollocks.

"We need to take the emotion out of it"
Now apparently we didn't listen.
Same as the players don't listen when we have lost.
Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit.
I really want to have some belief in this guy, because I don't have any modicum of belief in anyone above him.
But all I see and hear is a blagger.
Nothing changes my mind on him I don't listen to his interviews the blokes a bore and full of brown stuff. Wait until the pressures on again then we will see,This club isn't no mk dons or Oxford.

People above are saying above that this is more than the same stage last year (makes sense as presumably there are more people who could renew this year ie less season ticket holders in 2022-23 v 2023-24)
Yeah that makes sense but I think they are still down from this season ticket holders as people haven't renewed.
-
So is 12000 down on last year before general sale? I would of thought if everyone renewed it would be nearer 14k I can't remember the actual figure for this season.
-
Seems to me they are not worried about season ticket sales more about POTD going by what marshall is saying. Why do I get the feeling season tickets will be gradually faded out over time. 8000 is'nt exactly that great and him saying 15k he is definitely living in a dream world.

I heard that a certain Mr Dyson is interested in either buying or heavily investing in Bristol City.
Probably just wild speculation and rumour tho……..
He was linked to buying Bristol rovers in 2018

That’s credible. But, I’ve opted out of texts and still had one. It could be a fairly costly marketing strategy for them
I only accepted text etc from the football club none of the other clubs. But it does seem alot more desperate(if that's the right word) this time around with no figures being released yet and a week to go for renewals.

I’ve had an email and a text message today
Can't help themselves the more they bombard you with texts emails etc the more you feel guilty for not renewing. That's what there hoping anyway.

I think we'd start a waiting list before we got to 20k.
20k, plus needing to allow for a maximum away allocation of about 3,000, leaves only about 3,000 for POTD.
I reckon at around 18.5k we'd start taking about waiting lists, loyalty points etc.
18.5k is a good number but we should be doing better than we have been but again that comes down to the owners and the entertainment on offer we have done well over the years to increase the total but the figure of 18.5k plus we really should striving for.

12000 already renewed
Still pretty pants for the size of Bristol we should be hitting 20k season ticket holders at least. But I'm not sure where you got that figure from can't see it myself.

So….why the MASS exodus of fans (a) when Huddersfield scored (b) on 85 mins?? I hate it when fans leave early at the best of times but that was embarrassing today. We have been on a good run of late and I know things are petering out to another season of mid-tableness but hey…fair enough if we’re losing 3-0 or similar! I’d like to know how many City fans saw Nahki’s penalty scored as we fought regardless of performance to get on level terms.
Because we are a ground now full of day trippers plus the game was crap hardly surprising.

Burgzorg
Spoke to a couple Huddersfield fans on the walk back to the car I said who's your number 7 they said burgzorg and that he was hit and miss a player that causes arguments within the fan base he's either on or off,But today he definitely looked up for it and showed pace to cause us problems.

A little bit I can add, the club are still waiting for confirmation on how the new kick off days and times will impact us, but we are set to get an additional £2.5m from the deal - which clearly makes up for lost attendances
But the assumption is a side will be live at least 20 times over the season
Surely Ashton gate is going to see more empty seats,The club might get the extra £2.5 but who's going to pay on the day at £30 when you can just watch it on TV it just doesn't make sense. This is one of many reasons I'm not renewing I'm not risking wasting money because I can't get to games especially a Monday night.

Couldnt get to the Gate so Robins TV did the trick. Leroy loves the players and club, particularly Liam. What a great series of opinions about our coach- might be worth that seagul from Weston taking a listen!! I bet a lot of other recent moaners wont be on here tonight.
With a transfer window to come, with Zak our oldest player starting at 26 and with inspired subs like Liam has made tonight i reckon all our season ticket holders will be delighted and encouraging their mates too join up as well for August; it isnt long now. Up the City!
I won't be renewing and no I'm not delighted, Winning games when the pressure is off is hardly the motivation I need to renew.
