The only bad result for us today really….as others have said, need WBA to do us a favour tomorrow
We need US to do OURSELVES a favour tomorrow!

Just listened, that's 3 minutes of my life I'll never get back!
You would think the technical director would know how many points we were short of the playoffs wouldn't you?
Three? ******* three?
I'm sure that wasn't done deliberately because if it was it would be a lie....
So...... he's just incompetent then...

The playing philosophy , and it appears one he’s totally focused on , is a big concern for me , and I agree with you regarding the quality of players , and even then he has to be an excellent coach of this style , not ok , excellent , in terms of knowledge and delivery on the grass , (Besides the man management , in game management , etc etc as a head man) to make it successful
I would suggest that it’s the hardest , and most complicated playing philosophy to coach
And
For success , the best ?
For entertainment the best ?
Definitely not for entertainment!!

Well that’s true. I’m not close enough to the club or know anyone in the club to be sure.
We were dreadful for decades at bringing youngsters through, then all of a sudden we were one of the best. I don’t really know who does and doesn’t deserve credit for that.
Possibly a mixture of things.
Gary Probert was the academy director until he left to work for Swiss. He brought through Semenyo, Scott, Conway, Benarous etc. He deserves huge credit.
Brian Tinnion was the loans manager and then pathway manager. Loads of loans taking place until Pearson stopped them. He used Pring as an example of a player constantly on loan and not feeling part of BCFC. He also stopped the loans because he had little choice with the small squad he was left with after getting rid of the dead wood and overpaid players he inherited.
Tinnion does deserve some credit for his work in this area but definitely not enough to justify his promotion to technical director.
Nigel Pearson. Deserves massive credit for integrating the academy players into the first team squad and then providing the club with saleable assets. Circa £35,000,000 worth.
And for that he was given back (in comparison) peanuts.......

I was going to put a laughing emoji on your post but didn't because what you say is absolutely true and, being honest, isn't funny in the slightest...

Atkinson and Benarous too, albeit they haven't so much as made a bench all season so do we cross them off?
As I recall, Roberts and King went off injured during the game albeit possibly one of those you listed was available but can't think who.
Was Pring suspended?

Who was the 17 year old making his debut in defence?
I'd argue that the available players were very similar in both games
I apologise, that was the Cardiff away game. Around that time the number of injuries were confusing game per game.
Home to Ipswich it was obviously much easier as we were only without.... Tanner, McCrorie, Naismith, Vyner, James, Wells and Conway (from memory).
There may well have been more.... anyone? I actually believe it was 9?
The player availability was far worse for Pearson than Manning. FACT!

Yeah we lost at home to them as well, back in October
OMG!!! Not a ******* gen!
With half the squad out injured, a 17yo making his debut in defence and a bench completely full of kids!
We played bloody well considering (remember the ball rolling along the line?).
Played well but lost, just like Tuesday BUT WITH FAR FEWER AVAILABLE FIT PLAYERS!
Jeeez...

Well, we scored two goals away to a high-flying team, led twice, made Ipswich look ordinary for all of the first half, and generally worked really hard
And yet... we LOST!.....

That shows "huge regression" does it? Ok.
Well it certainly doesn't show anything remotely positive does it?
I cannot agree with the way @Harry has worked this. If you went back to that moment in time and did the same calculation for all the teams in the league no one would have changed positions! Some teams in the relegation places would probably now be on mimus points!
Ppg is the only real barometer and yes, we HAVE regressed!
Funny now we want " context" now but lots poo pood the injuries under Pearson eh?
Sorry @Harry looks like you are trying to spin Mannings stats higher than they actually are.

It's getting to the point where we might have to need players to 'play through the pain' in order to stay up?
I've said before but look at Southend this season, operated with a 14 man squad because they were a financial shambles, from August to January. You cant tell me that they weren't playing players who medically shouldn't have been playing. They also made up a -10 point deduction
Looked like Pring was suffering on Tuesday...

No- but our Chairman and Technical Director told us the previous regime were at fault for our injuries, so I assumed this wouldn’t be an issue now.
Yes they did which was a disgustingly low blow..... even for them!

I have said on another post-NP did not get particularly good results, now how much of that was down to reducing the wage bill getting rid of the dead wood etc I don't know. I have come in for some stick for even daring to point that out, he was working under some constraints but the way he is mourned on here anyone would think we had been successful and entertaining under his management, well I must have missed that part, as you have pointed out Manning seems to be on a hiding to nothing what frustrates me most is good results and performances followed by disappointment. I personally can see some improvement overall the team look more cohesive but again we have the curse of Bristol City with injuries which have impacted our progress, all this harking back to the "good old days" under Pearson is getting us nowhere.
If people are told the truth, it helps but..... the rationale for sacking Pearson is just a tissue of LIES.
People who deliberately lie, lose respect.
When those same lies actually make us worse, you end up where we currently are.
Now, JL and BT can not expect any, or little respect.
They also seem not to be able to do anything about it nor indeed put out any comms (another lie which they said would improve).
They are in a hole of their own making.

Well I think we should repeat this until someone owns up and does something about it!
Someone should pay for the current shit show with their job.
You can lie there and have your tummy tickled but I certainly won't.
