Don't worry just ignore it. Every new user on here who isn't wholly negative is called a BS employee. Unfortunately this place resembles the paranoia of gaschat when they accuse everyone of being a city fan.

Unfortunately, OTIB was infiltrated by Bristol Sport EMPLOYEES the day Pearson was sacked! This was proved!

Each rubbishing Pearson in a shocking way while being paid by Bristol Sport!

Typical of crayon boy and snake who obviously knew there would be a backlash to his sacking!

Those employees need to have a bloody good look at themselves as do us supporters.

Putin esq propaganda has no place within our club. This is just yet another reason that I will NOT renew my season ticket!

62 years man and boy and never felt so disheartened about the club.

2 things life has taught me....

    I don't suffer fools gladly.

    I can't tolerate liars.

1.28. We round up if the decimal is after 5.

And is currently on 1.5 from the last 12 games. Looking at his first 12 excludes the last 6 games where we've gone at 1.33 ppg.

Pearson managed 14 league games this season and returned 1.29 ppg. Manning's ppg over his last 14 is 1.36. So yes Pearson had a higher ppg in his 14 games this season compared to Manning's 18...a whole 0.01 higher. However if we compare apples and apples Manning is currently trending higher than Pearson.

If you want people to respect your opinions then you need to start basing them on foundations of rock not sand. Compare apples and apples and use the right numbers.

So squad availability due to injuries doesn't come into it?

Check squad availability when we played Cardiff and before that.

Manning has many more available players than Pearson had and should be doing better than he is.

The fact you think your post is “well thought through” says more about you than anything else, it is in the main proper guff. You compare it to Beale who unlike Manning lost the dressing room and the fan base - Manning has done neither. that negatively on the scale over someone who is doing an “ok” job in a short period of time isn’t healthy.

Youre acting as if his points return hasn’t been good enough, you’re one fan out of thousands so where is the evidence he is doing this terrible job that means he should be sacked. He is doing ok no more no less, just as Pearson was, difference is he had 2+ years where as Manning, what, 4 months. Bizarre.

Manning needs to make adjustments in game better, especially when behind, he also needs to find a way to breakdown teams who play the low block….on the flip side players are improving under him….Williams, Tanner, Mehmeti, Pring….and they clearly enjoy the coaching that’s going on. Next season will be litmus test. As for your negativity, not healthy.

Mmmmm, so you joined one hour ago and this is your first post...

Shouldn't you be doing something better like sorting tickets or other Bristol Sport work?

I said “we just can’t shift on as easily” meaning players under contract are harder to shift than loan players

i.e if Mbude doesn’t work out then we don’t have to sign him and the loan ends.

However, if as an example LM wanted to move on Mehmeti then that’s not as easy as he still has 2.5 years left on his contract

its just the point that we’ve signed Mbude on loan, he’s played about 45 minutes and I’m not rushing to judge him yet albeit if it doesn’t work out then he goes back to his parent club and we move on.

You also said "I'm more concerned about the players we have under contract who aren't good enough"

So name them (in your opinion) or retract the statement. Perhaps your bosses told you to post that eh?

Came on here on 27th January  39 posts since. Busy eh? Hope the overtimes worth it.

Some of the comments on here about Mbude are utterly ridiculous 😂

The lads played about 45 minutes over two games, he’s on loan and if it doesn’t work out then no harm done

We’ve all been crying out for decent loans since Tammy and some work out and some don’t.

I’m more concerned about the players we have under contract who aren’t good enough that we just can’t shift on as easily as not signing a loan player permanently

He may settle in and we’ll all be raving about him in a couple of games, if he pops up and scores the winner against Cardiff then we’ll all be cheering!

So let’s give the lad a chance

Please name these players who aren't good enough and "we just can't shift"

My exasperation was not to do with your figures, it's that yet another thread (which was meant to be about a podcast) has evolved into yet another Pearson v Manning yawnfest, I wish people could wake up, smell the coffee and move on!

Well perhaps you should have a word with Gay, apparently he does it every game.

Or, maybe just don't listen to the ******* idiot in the first place....

This is really kettle...calling... I dont know who Gray is and like most other City fans dont listen to podcasts by individual people. I talk/message City opinions amongst a set of people i've known are good, die-hard City fans for many a decade. Only recently joined OTIB

BUT for some people to criticize an individual for expressing an opinion when about a dozen people on OTIB post so regularly they must mistakenly think that others want to constantly hear their opinions, is quite weird.

Also, people banging on about "Nige this Nige that" have totally missed the plot. Our club didnt rate him in '22 nor '23, most fans didnt like his football nor his results over 30 months and are mostly pleased we have moved on to someone different. And, as for a tiny minority of City fans who seem to think they are ITK and cool by knocking one of the Club's all time legends,Tinman, they should ask themselves what they have done make true fans happy?

i love the variety of opinions on here but knocking fellow social media fans like you are better than them is really childish. Hopefully content stays grown up

    Bollocks.

    I don't smell gas, I smell ******* Bristol Sport!!!

I've never understood these fan podcasts.

Why do fans, want to watch and listen to other fans pretending to be television soccer pundits? It's cringe worthy..

And then put them on a pedestal like they are something special and more knowledgeable. When they obviously aren't. It's just personal views like any of us.

All seems a bit weird to me.

The forum is one thing...this however is just blokes playing at being TV pundits. It's exactly the same type of conversations you have with mates at work or down the pub.

Never understood why anyone would give it their time, and then want to comment about their views. Like these people's views are important.

    I find it very odd.

    Maybe I'm in the minority...🤷

Feel exactly the same.... thanks for putting it so well.

Hang on……Tinnion and current recruitment were involved in a number of signings and the board also sacked Nige because they deemed squad good enough for top six.

    And THIS season as well....

I wrote on another thread that Ian got his obligatory dig at Pearson in early this week. Yes Ian is regarding Mr Pearson as @Robbored was regarding Gary Johnson. All very annoying so only watched the first 15 or so this week!

The youngster with @headhunter was very good and I would expect to see more of him as he was clear about what he saw and thought and I think Spot on! Also he is not weighed down by having to justify previous statements!!

No, Gay was also very critical of Gary Johnson. Started a thread on here something like "do the right thing and GO" or similar.

Went very quiet when he got us to the playoff final! Never admitted he was wrong. Just showed the quality of the man.

He has to my knowledge been negative to all managers until now.

Maybe BT has promised Gay the managers job when Manning leaves.

That would be right wouldn't it, putting someone in a position that they have no experience or qualifications to undertake. That would make it three alongside the "Chairman" and "Technical director"

Thankfully Gay doesn't seem to lower himself to talk to radio Bristol after the game anymore, saves an awful lot of swearing on my way home.

As you can probably tell, not a fan....

Selective memory mate  like a stuck record some people.

Lets see where we are after 46 games. Squads hardly been strengthened so fair dos if Manning gets us 8th or higher which is what I consider "top end"

Otherwise its all bollocks and down to Tinnions elevation above Pearson which wasnt acceptable of course to the latter.

If Manning does well here its DESPITE having Tinnion looking over him not because of.

Mmmm, not quite the point was it?

Surely you must also now feel that Manning and his players are equally as deluded?

Manning is doing a good job with the same squad as the one he inherited and I never thought Tinnion or JL were deluded. Perhaps it's just those who can't accept positive change that are truly deluded?

I think you must also be deluded if you make such ludicrous statements..... squad yes, TEAM NO!!

Please check the TEAM available to play against Cardiff and then have a word with yourself....including the subs!

Would LM have done any better on that day with that TEAM?

Can you ever get over Nige ?

No..... now I have seen many, many managers come and go over the years, most glad to see the back of, but the whole process around Nige was appalling.

Didn't think it was necessary but having made the decision the way it was done was shit. No thanks for the work undertaken, reducing the wage bill, getting rid of players who should never have been signed etc.

Manipulating a situation to deliberately weaken the team by refusing to invest In the team after the sale of Alex Scott.

Weakening the team so it is more likely to fail.....Great chairman eh?

No mention of Nige in the 2023 review.

This post is not against LM who I have previously said I felt sorry for because of the ridiculous reasons/excuses put out by JL and BT. They made his job an awful lot harder.

Nor against any of my fellow red's BUT..... IMHO, JL and BT are a pair of lying ******* shitbags who do not deserve support and will definitely not get mine next season.

    COYR...

After our win at Watford on boxing day we were one point off 6th! We absolutely should be going for it in January and seizing the opportunity. Otherwise we sell our best players in the summer to 'balance the books' and we are back to square one!

Should have gone for it in the summer after selling our best player in a generation.

He is in charge of the 1st team whatever his job title is, he has to deliver results like anybody else who is in charge. His remit is to deliver a more exciting style of football AND get results, that’s what I mean by the whole package. If not it’s on to the next reset.

Oh and THIS SEASON or why would we change?

Probably but a "recommendation" still puts the ball in Nige's course to decide.

I personally wouldn't judge that window anyway as there was no money to spend until AS was sold. Cornick was a gamble and Anis on paper could have been cracking signing.

I was just answering TV Tom's question.

Depends on which other players were also "recommended" doesn't it?

Something of course that we will never know...
