Still on his crutches some three months later.

    NO NO NO!!!

Being on crutches does not take away any functions like your brain, you can still see, talk, hear. Infact everything you could do before you needed them!

Your employer has to make reasonable adjustments before sacking so, he could have sat down instead of standing watching training, sat up in the terrace at the hpc etc.

Christ, you are supposed to help and support your employee not use it as a ******* excuse to get rid!

If you were, or anyone was at Senior Reds yesterday I am the chap getting around on 2 crutches. Doesn't stop me doing anything I can assure you! I retired age 65 and spent the last 4 years working on crutches. No adjustments necessary. I was a construction industry project manager trained in the Architectural profession. My boss wanted me to stay on another year!

Crutches are an aid and nothing more!!!

    Rant over.....

FFS, I clearly wrote that it wasn't possible. All I said was that it would be good to hear what he actually said.

I quote - "It would've been awesome to get detailed answers instead of condensed sentences, but clearly that wasn't possible."

And then said...."I'm really interested if a complete transcript of the answers will be released"

    "Any word on that"?

    So NO is the answer

Finally, someone's asking thoughtful questions—nothing too demanding, but definitely a step up. It would've been awesome to get detailed answers instead of condensed sentences, but clearly that wasn't possible. I doubt he was only on stage for two minutes.

Many thanks to @Galley is our king for the info—it's truly appreciated. I'm really curious if a complete transcript of the answers will be released. Any word on that, @Galley is our king?

It's fantastic that important questions are being raised, and it's great to see JL becoming more visible. Credit where it's due!

Bloody hell mate, it was a Christmas lunch! Obviously next time I'll take my Bloody secretary....

Not surprised he felt uncomfortable in front of real fans with unscripted questions.  Was he there alone? When I've seen him doing Q&A  before he usually has a sidekick as back-up.

No, on his own. I  expect he thought a bit of flattery at the start... " you must be our most loyal supporters" "So happy to see so many people here" etc but no, definitely didn't work.

The last time we got beat by more than one goal was Nige's last game, at Cardiff. Prior to that, Birmingham in August.

So we're not usually a pushover for any team, and we've seen commitment form the players all season.

I do understand that there's a sense of pressure building, but I'm going to predict another close game, even if, like almost everyone, I don't fancy us to win.

I think that's the team he had to pick.

Yes but look at the defense against Cardiff,

    Tanner injured.

    Vyner injured

    Pring suspended

    Just Dickie!

For a large portion of the first hour, you are spot on.  We failed to execute what he wants, that’s the bottom line.

We all know that if the opposition press is so good, sometimes you have to go over it.  FWIW I’m not convinced Blackburn’s press was that good, but hey-ho.

But “to go over it” means two good options - 1) medium length chips into free players beyond their forward pressing players or 2) longer / long passes  in behind their CBs, and one bad option - punting aimless balls central towards TC, but more importantly, right down Wharton and Carter’s throats.

    That wasn’t the plan.

It’s not all Max’s fault, although at times I thought he was too eager to go long, but also his teammates making space to receive for him and each other.

Nor is it freeing LM of any responsibility either

I think you are right, their press wasn't that good which makes the decision making even worse.

What the hell are we going to do when we come up against a team that does press well?

Manning will continue to want his players to play his way won’t he.  There is no “other way” for him.  He will want his players to execute better though.  The only real difference under him is that we are more patient, prepared to go back, go out the other side, repeat until a better chance comes.  That’s the theory.  Under Nige we tended to try to force the chance.

Interesting, watching the game on Tuesday, there was only one team playing possession football from the back and it was Blackburn!

There keeper was excellent at it. Easily found a player in space. He only lumped it twice, one to come out and intercept a through ball and the other was about the last kick of the game. Both understandable.

They also had multiple players running channels and creating space and using the wings.

They kept possession the length of the pitch not just in their own half.

We have a lot to do to get to that point and possibly a replacement for Max..

@Galley is our king I’d like to see all of that too.

The thing is though - I think - that there’s as much chance of that as I’ve got of Jennifer Aniston being in my Christmas stocking in a week or so’s time 😂

If the ***** appointed a failed manager to become Technical Director they aren’t going to insist or accept his resignation.

Equally the ***** aren’t going anywhere any time soon. Admission of failure, accountability and responsibility isn’t something these clowns recognise.

Why? Because what they want they’ll get. They don’t give a flying **** about BCFC. If BCFC goes down they don’t care.

They’ve got several revenue stream now, of which BCFC is simply one of them.

Anyway. I’m dreaming of a Jennifer Aniston Christmas……

Can't have her mate, she's mine... all mine...

I just watched the interview back again

I think he has come to the realisation that the messages they are trying to get across aren't being heard properly - that must be deflating

He is inexperienced himself and perhaps this is a learning curve for him dealing with the most senior (in terms of playing level) players he has dealt with exclusively as manager

It is up to him to find a way to get the message over, I'll admit that for sure

    So he's "inexperienced"....

    Can't get his messages across....

Learning curve dealing with senior players....

I agree with you in all these mentioned SO, why on earth did crayon boy and sid sack Pearson and choose him as his replacement??

    WHAT A COMPLETE **** UP!!!!
