Splitting hairs, maybe, but neither of them actually said that. Marshall did - but he's not the footballing man (evidently!).
Sorry, they both said we have a squad capable of being at the top end of the table and we didn't want to wait until the end of the season for that so we acted now.
Complete bollox.

I don't know where to begin with this.
You note a very marked improvement? Where's the marked improvement in 4 games without a league win and only 1 goal in 4 league games?
How was losing on pens to FGR a real low point?
What strikes me is that in Pearsons first full season here, people forget the shite players he had available to him, yet they use that as a stick to beat him with.
I've failed to find one single positive in your post about Pearsons time here and I think that says it all so I'm not going to even bother unpicking the rest of the bs you have wrote.
Absolutely. Joined 24th November 2023 and that was the second post!
You were right with the bs comment, might just be a different bs though....

Liam's current statistics prove that Jon and Brian were so inaccurate, claiming that we had a Top 6 squad.
I think we may better last season and possibly hit 65 points, but if we finish with less than 59 points, oh boy, it really shows how deluded the board were in their statement a few months back.
Stats don't lie. I sincerely hope we are better in the next 18 games, but regretfully, we are probably more likely to mirror last season in terms of points and our league table position.
You are right, stats don't lie....
Unfortunately, the 2 people now running our club do.....

I don’t get the negativity.
First choice was Azaz. He chose Boro.
If our next options weren’t available / were too expensive in this window then what do we want the club to do? Just persist with zero creativity until the end of the season?Burnley have no reason to do us a favour with low buy option.
If this move means we are more creative, score more goals, push us a few places up the league and generally make going to Ashton Gate more fun for the rest of the season then I’m all for it.What do we want the club to do?
Do this type of business in the SUMMER!
If they think he will really improve us then why not for the whole season, not just the second half?

Cracks me up how aggressive Ian's voice always sounds but now we know what he looks like he just looks like a cute little furby that you could pop in your coat pocket and keep as a pet feeding him fruit shoots through a tiny pipette and giving him the odd unwanted mini cheddar.
Little bloke syndrome...

Voted yes but I have a lot of gratitude towards SL.
Unfortunately we are now being run by JL. The person with no qualifications or experience to run anything especially a football club. His employment record shows 4 years working for Hargreaves Lansdown. Executive position? PR department? No, the call centre.
That's the sum of it.
Then he goes and gets rid of all the people around him that disagree with him (Pearson and Alexander) and replaces them with people too weak to say it as it is.
I would humbly ask SL to take back the reins, stop his son treating his position as a hobby before enormous damage is done to the club we ALL love.

It would he insane for anyone to suggest we need a new manager it's the squad of players our team is no where near a playoff side
Yes, just a pity that wasn't recognised before they sacked Nige.

He wasn't backed that summer and I haven't said any different. One transfer wi dow would not of changed this squad hugely from what it is.

Central defence isn't the problem!
How many of these returning players are creative or goalscoring players? Not enough!
You can't polish a wotsit, mate. And we're a bang average, nowhere near top 6, wotsit.
Your right it isn't the problem but it WAS.
At Cardiff we had Sykes at right back (tanner injured), played Pring at centre back (Vyner and Atkinson injured) and played a 17 year old at left back because Pring had to play out of position.
We lost 2-0 and the manager was sacked.
Bastards.

Add in its a small squad aswel
And why is that?
Simply because NP was not supported in the summer transfer window after the sale of Scott!

Points wise the same.
What including the previously injured players now fit to play?
I think not...

Let's not forget LM has several players returned from injury so has a stronger squad to "train on the grass" and select. Some in key positions where there was no real alternatives like central defence

Well junior Lansdown had the same gig in December and was made to feel a bit uncomfortable. I would think BT can expect a similar reception. Unless we beat WHU of course.
Shouldn't matter if we beat WHU or not. We are 14th in the league that's what matters!
Him and crayon boy both LIED!!!
Shocking really, just bluster and bullshit!
With all the players having returned from injury since LM started you really would expect better wouldn't you?
I can only imagine the vitriolic posts on here if after all the injured players had returned we played like we are and NP was still in charge.
But then again I firmly believe we would be playing better.....

Nothing to see here because you're also one of the ones thats abusing the initiative?
The fact is because it's being abused and seats are sold but not used the club are losing out on money. Roughly I spend between 500-700 per season at Ashton Gate on top of my tickets. That's a lot of money for the club to be missing out on when you times it by x amount.
That's why premier league clubs have all the ticket exchanges or will buy tickets back. Because if a seat is sold but not used, they lose money.
I'm glad the club are now clamping down on this. Hopefully those who hold such seats will give them up in the future and fans will actually be able to buy a ticket in the SS.
Sorry mate, usually agree with you but you are talking about the next generation of City supporters and if only say 25% go on to be regular future supporters, it's definitely worth it (IMHO).

Why when we had Kasey Palmer?

Okay so he had no involvement with us bringing Alex Scott to the club even though the above says otherwise.
Football is about relationships, who's to guarantee that if someone else was in BT's position we would of signed him.
To give him no credit is bizarre and seems driven by some weird agenda.
Well whoever bought him to the club (I believe SL), he went straight into the academy under academy director..... Gary Probert, now at Ipswich. BT became academy director in October 2021 by which time he was a full time member of the first team squad under Nige.

Any chance of an English sentence translation please?
Just replying to what Ian Gay said in the podcast....
You obviously haven't listened, trust me you did the right thing...

What a ******* hypocrite!
Ian Gay.... did YOU ask yourself what would happen if the Lansdown family walked away when YOU asked embarrassing questions of Steve Lansdown at LAST SEASONS Senior Reds lunch?
No! You acted the big I am!
Jon Lansdown is not his Dad BUT is the Chairman of the club and therfore should be able to answer any question asked..... or don't do it!
As I said, what a hypocrite!!!!

Positives massively out way the drawbacks, anyone arguing anything else is a numpty. They clearly have limited football ‘knowledge’ and made some poor decisions - but we have had stability and they care about the club, so we are lucky to have them.
So.... this is your 6th post and you joined yesterday.....

Yep, lost 2 -0.
One 17 year old making his debut and a bench full of kids with Tommy coming back from injury.
And yet, apparently, this loss was enough to sack the manager.
******* disgusting.
We must never forget this and the powers that be must be held to account if things do not rapidly improve.
