So can I assume just the one meeting or more ?

could just be you let him at the wrong time, we all have bad days where people’s opinions might be different to how we actually are.

Clutching at straws bud, body language says Lew is right.

Very happy chappy whenever he's scored before, beaming.

    I'm glad you mentioned that.

Bath Rugby I believe, after a torrid number of years, brought in someone to evaluate their club...might have been a consultant or someone from Saracens (I'm not entirely sure as i dont follow rugby in too much detail), but since that process a year or so ago, their performances have been much better, and they're towards the top end of the table.

Question is though, from a footballing perspective, who would you choose? Maybe the Brighton owner? Dunno

Trouble is the most important thing they must be a yes man/woman....

Indeed it does. Lose against Swansea and they will need to act. Our post NP point performance per game has decreased by 22%. During a time of BETTER squad availability.

Which makes Tinnion’s current role untenable at the same time.

It all points to; bad decision-making caused by poor governance.

We need; a proper CEO; two additions to the board who have FOOTBALL experience; a stable football management structure (I don’t mid what model, but pick one and stick with it)

Tinnion could still have a role in the academy.

In any other world, when you’re appointed to improve performance and things go backwards so quickly, you’re out on your ear. But not in Bristol City world. Sigh.

Oh and a supporter representative like @Davefevs who will state the bleeding obvious because no one else seems to or is to scared to.

Having seen the last few I am convinced Ian has been told to say the most crazy outrageous things he can as click bate to bring more people into the podcast , his stuff dose give that pod a sort of propaganda for the club feel as it's his stuff you remember later but it's not really fair on the others who say some good balanced stuff,

Sorry mate no, he's always been a complete dick.....

Because Conway doesn’t block or press the same way Wells and Knight do.
If you lose Knight from that position you basically have to change the whole defensive set up

But but, Mannings taught him so much

    ..... apparently

    All “behaviours” we lack.

For me, it’s not about the quality of our players, because Ipswich have just showed us that mentality is what makes a promotion side.

There is something wrong with the mentality of our club as a whole. Bristol City feels like a “nice” club to come and work. You will be treated well, nobody will deride you for not performing. The club mentality is a reflection from the staff we have at the top of the club.

We don’t buy players who have the mental strength we need. There is nobody to lead, to take a game by the scruff of the neck, to put that game changing tackle in and grab their own teammate and scream in their face when they misplace a 6 yard pass.

This is not meant to be a reflection on the Ipswich match, if I’m honest I watched the match and thought good attempt city, but I was jealous of Ipswich’s passion.

Funny because we were just beginning to show all those things under Nige....

And what about the madness of your entitled expectation?

    This really cracked me up!

My expectations don't come into it! We can only judge Manning on the expectations of others ie, JL and BT who decided to sack Pearson because they wanted improvements THIS season. Otherwise "why would we do it now"?

4 points off the playoffs when they sacked Pearson and 11 points from relegation.

Currently 11 points off the playoffs and 6 points from relegation.

How do you think it's going?

I don't disagree with any of that, but a defeat tomorrow isn't going to change any of it immediately, is it?

What with the pillocks we have in charge? No.

Look, something has to change, it can't go on as it is.

We either start playing football and win some games or change the manager.

Lets hope it's winning but I'm definitely not holding my breath..

Well- there we have it. A victory against Ipswich will be largely meaningless and you'd want BCFC to lose for the greater good. Madness.

What about the madness of sacking Pearson in the first place?

What about the madness of replacing him with someone who has no experience in the championship either as a player or coach?

What about the madness of having two people in charge of the club with no experience or qualifications to be in such a position?

What about the madness of not even seeing what's right in front of people when they attend games?

Get rid, all three of them and replace with people who know what they are doing....

Maybe we can help Manning by locking Tinnion in a cupboard. That way he won’t be able to pop into Liam’s office with his ‘ideas’ and ‘advice’.

Great idea  can we put Gay in there as well?

The real question is why wasn’t Nige going to be offered a new contract, considering he has done everything that has been asked of him to that point?

Why didn’t they trust Nige and Phil Alexander to get on with using some of the Scott money to invest in players?

How did they manage to lose 2 men with over 60 years’ worth of top football experience, including time at the highest level, in the space of just over a month?

Why did they think that they could cope without that experience? Was it arrogance or ignorance?

Why did they appoint an inexperienced League 1 coach with no actual success, but one sacking in just over 2 years, to replace Nige?

Why was Tinnion elevated from Head of the Academy to Head of Recruitment and then to Technical Director, when his only period as a manager ended after just over a season in League 1 with us and in failure?

How did we end up with a “board” that has only 2 people, one of whom is the son of the owner and the other was the Bristol Sport accountant? Why were all of the other board members removed over time and not replaced?

All of these questions would help explain why we find ourselves in the position we do now, with a team in a terrible run of form, playing some of the dullest football ever witnessed at Ashton Gate, from a Head Coach who is out of his depth, appointed by people who think they know more about professional football than they really do.

    Brilliant post!!!

You answered your own question though in a way but....

It was arrogance AND ignorance ...

When it comes to our fixture clashes with that side, it does appear to be us who have to move, to be inconvenienced more than them?

Mother's day next Sunday, more important than the shite being served up at Ashton gate

    Yes agree.

Does anyone know WHY we are one of only two teams playing on the Sunday?

I class 10th as still mid table albeit top end - and we could in theory still make 10th of course. I just don’t  - and didn’t - see us troubling the playoffs this season. The squad just doesn’t have the depth, the quality or the consistency needed. And because of that lack of depth, we can’t cope with injuries. And just to add, we’ve been incredibly fortunate that Vyner and Dickie have not been injured - bare bones there so could have been even worse

Vyner was injured for Ipswich at home and Cardiff away (at least). Part of the problem..

Yes it was poor, but even amongst the numerous negatives there are aways some positives, and they are:

     - We were not outplayed and looked fairly solid in midfield and defensively

    - We restricted them to a couple of chances (yes they scored from one)

    - They scored against the run of play

    - If we can improve things in the final third, we will be much better

    - we have some decent players waiting to come back who should really improve things.

You really are a dick, Top Robin my ass
