  1. Isn't that exactly what hooligans are looking to do? Injure someone else, put their's and others life at risk. And ignore all the consequences of their actions. That's what you were originally implying wasn't pathetic ?
  2. Not just seen as scum by society, but also seen as scum and distanced by Football Clubs. The hypocrisy is ridiculous. The deceased went to injure other people in the name of Blackpool FC.
  3. I haven't said it was. And I don't know the circumstances of this case. However...anyone that does something on purpose that puts others lives at risk is imo, selfish and often pathetic.
  4. As a McLaren fan, it's going to be another long season of disappointment I fear. I feel for Lando, he deserves better and will be off, regardless of new contract.
  5. It clearly is pathetic for so many reasons. And probably one of the most selfish things a person could do. No self control what so ever. It maybe just about a fight amongst others who are like-minded. However there are always knock on affects to others who want nothing to do with it. Firstly the families and children who have to live with these people and the consequences of their actions. Death, injury, jail terms, fines etc. Then the Police, Ambulance, Paramedics,Stewards who have to put themselves at harm. Often property is damaged. So whoever owns the property has to pick up the tab, often pubs, bars, shops, small businesses, cars etc. The knock on affect of insurance. All goes up and costs, plus can cause trauma and fear. General public going about their own business, not wanting to be involved, often have to witness it, traumatising kids and woman and elderly. Affecting what they choose to do in life again. Where to go etc. Then it's done all in the name of a football club. Clubs that don't want anything to do with it. The majority of fans that don't want anything to do with it. The actions affect everyone associated with the club. Greater police presence, greater restrictions, higher costs etc, etc. What annoys me more, is that Blackpool FC are paying their respects to a man who went out of his way to attack Burnley fans at a pub designated for away fans. He was the aggressor, he went to harm/ injure a member of public. From the video you can clearly see him kick out and be the aggressor...he got punched and killed from someone retaliating. He could easily have been the murderer rather than deceased. Why would a football club offer it's respects, just because he was a life long supporter? Would they have offered their respects if he had been the murderer? Respecting someone who went out of their way to cause damage, mame, injure another person in the name of Blackpool FC. It's all so hypocritical imo. Now his poor family have to live without him. All because of his selfish actions in the name of football. Ridiculous.
  6. I haven't seen any video. But thanks for confirming ?
  7. Needs clarifying, however there are tweets saying it was Blackpool fans who attacked a pub designated for away fans, that Burnley fans were using. Needless violence, over football.
  8. I think a lot of it comes down to the quality of players rather than formation perce. Without Kalas, Atkinson and Naismith, we are pretty stuffed at CB imo. Go physical and bombard the box with crosses, and I can't see us winning much. Vyner needs someone physical, a ball winner next to him. He's too passive at crosses and often doesn't read crosses well. He's proven this season to be competent as a CB partner, who blocks and organises. DaSilva is a complete liability at LB. Again and again... he's easily beaten, allows crosses into the box way too easily, gives too much space, way too passive, and often points to others to ' take over' after he's been beaten. We saw it again for Cardiff's second. Tanner is a far more competent full back. We can purr all we like at DaSilvas technical ability, close control, but imo, he's awful as a LB. Hopefully in games coming up, teams don't penetrate down the right and go physical in the box. Vyner, King and DaSilva fill me with dread if they play in defence together. Even with Tanner, Vyner, Pring, DaSilva that is imo, massively weak.
  9. I'd be tempted to keep our strongest players available on the pitch and keep the same formation. Huddersfield are susceptible to speed and attacks on the flanks and find defending against skillful players a problem. With that in mind... _________________Max_________________ Tanner____Vyner_____James_____Pring ___Weimann____Scott_____Mehmeti___ ____Sykes______Wells_______Bell______ I know James isn't CB, but I reckon he could do a job there, and I just don't trust King and Vyner together. Prefer Pring to DaSilva...who imo, defensively is poor. Pring better defensively and offers physicality, pace and offensive attributes. Lots of speed, energy and skill in the mid and forward lines.
  10. Ken spent the evening at the Grapes in Chipping Sodbury last night. Wearing his Bristol Bears rugby shirt. Didn't get to chat to him. Didn't realise he followed the Bears.
  11. I'm not sure how reliable this website it, but it seems to imply that Han is in approx 6000euro a week. I can see him staying in France tbh. https://www.capology.com/club/auxerre/salaries/
  12. But he is a 'victim of circumstance'. The circumstance is that the play list is regulated depending on how much the BBC get paid to promote the records. Regardless of how much extra money he can earn elsewhere...if he was allowed to have a little more say on what's played, he wouldn't have moved on. Another case of sterile, bland generic music being promoted. It's turning into Britain's got talent. ????
  13. Really interested to know...without trying to sound like a ****. Looking at the menu...what did you glean from eating at the Chefs table? It's pretty much straight forward, basic ' Italian style' food. Apart from presenting it ' stylishly '...it's common food eaten commonly. Like I said...not being funny...but I don't see anything in the menu that you wouldn't experience at any regular ' Italian' restaurant. Just intrigued why anyone would pay or want to experience a chef's table with such a basic menu.
  14. Appreciate the reply ? Lots of conundrums as you point out. I'm assuming, if Portsmouth hadn't come in for him, or any other team, he'd still be a City player, and we wouldn't have been proactive at looking to sell him. Portsmouth came in, City told him we can't guarantee first team football next season and there's competition for his position in the academy. Seems a no brainer for Towler.
  15. I get the impression that Towler saw his future with us. We invested a lot of time developing him, and the loans out were to further develop his career with us in the near future. Maybe NP thought Towler wouldn't be breaking into our first team anytime soon, and that there are players in the Academy that could reach his level or beyond. A lot of timing involved I think and pathways etc. If Atkinson had injured himself pre Towler leaving, maybe we would have recalled him for cover. Who knows...I like Towler...my gut tells me he'll be a decent League 1, Championship level player in his career. The move to Portsmouth most likely benefits him more, than it does us in hindsight. Good luck to the lad.
  16. You'd could always try this one ???? wtf have I just seen ???
  17. Looking at the menu, the whole thing is a piss take.
  18. @Port Said Red the ACL operation using part of the hamstring is truly amazing. An ex of mine snapped her ACL completely when skiing. They used micro surgery to remove some hamstring, three pieces, plaited it, then attached it were the ligament was. From memory, and the bit I find fascinating, is somehow...the muscle turns to ligament. Nature is truly amazing. She recovered completely with no weakness, although it took the best part of a year to fully recover. I should imagine Robs will be quicker as he'll have top physio etc. Fingers crossed Rob comes back fighting fit.
  19. Yes, I posted up the goals and interview on another thread earlier today. He's loving life there.
  20. Yes it will be interesting to see how we go at CB. As football evolves, imo CB' s are having to become an all round package, offensively astute as well as defensively.
  21. I find the Low situation interesting to follow. He has all the ingredients to become a decent CB, but in what I call ' the old fashioned way'. I thought Towler in his development looked a more accomplished footballing CB compared to Low. It'll be interesting to see how he develops and whether his urgency, awareness, speed of thought and distribution evolve.
