  1. It looks like a Gaelic, Celtic, Irish font. I presume it's being used since the introduction of our new Irish kit suppliers O'Neil's. Who's logo I can't unsee as similar to 1970s football ball manufacturers Stuburt. ??
  2. Who's Alex Scott's representative/agent...anyone know?
  3. Totally agree with this. VAR is ruining football. Even the VAR officials can't review the analysis properly. It's a joke now. I'm all for goal line technology only. And changing the offside and handball rules. It would make the refs job easier.
  4. Watch it back on TV. No kick by Silva. Man City were building up play, Williams went towards Silva and just pushed him to the floor out of the way. Really funny tbh. Silva got up looking stunned, reacted, and pushed Williams in the back. Williams just doing some shithousery and winding them up ??
  5. Gonna have it on today on repeat whilst trying to work
  6. It isn't fine. I watched some of the match from TV this morning. Some of the close ups showed areas with big areas of grass missing, and holes. In concentrated areas. Either from warm up positions, mauls and scrums. We've been lucky with the weather this winter. Imagine how much worse it could be if we had had it wet for long periods.
  7. Yeah...it was probably a ridiculous thing to post on my part. ? Quite like Noel though. Follows his team like Robert Plant.
  8. Mate of mine spoke to Noel Gallagher last night, and he commented on how good the atmosphere and fans were.
  9. This will take a few back in time ? One of m earliest memories as a kid back in the 70s. Think it was repeated numerous times.
  10. I'd love to do a Safari, one thing I've never done. Fair play to the Lansdowns on their conservation efforts. If I had their money, it's something I'd be interested in helping with as well. Interview here not so long ago https://luxurysafarimagazine.com/2022/10/03/luxury-safari-magazine-interviews-stephen-lansdown/ Stunning With Steve and NP we've gone full on David Attenborough and Tarzan ?
  11. I didn't have a dream...but I woke up yesterday morning and the first 'thought' that went through my head was Bristol City 1 Man City 8. Which I thought was odd and just dismissed. Then I heard the woman's result this morning. Wtf! ?
  12. The joy has certainly come back when watching City play. It's been covered in recent threads about how well the club are performing throughout. All aspects of the club, from the outside, look to have improved... Academy, talent identification, player progress, selling, coaching, togetherness, Identity, entertaining to watch....Club and fans all in it together. It's what you want in your Club. At the moment it's a joy to watch. We now look like a top 10 side, rather than a bottom 5. We just need a season like say Sheffield Utd are having...where everything clicks results wise throughout the season, even when performance is below average. I just find it so frustrating that we build, find gems, improve them, then when they really shine, we have to sell them. Creating the ' Perfect Storm' of keeping your best players, and having a settled squad playing to their best ability is what's needed. Wells and James next season will be into their mid thirties. They are probably likely to decline. It's all very well finding experience to replace, and great we have youngsters coming through...however...with the blend of experience and new recruits, and youngsters coming through, they all need to click at the right time. There always seems to be a weakness, that stops us being a top 3 side. I can see in the near future the comments... ' we are missing a Matty James influence and experience '. Even if he gets replaced by another experienced player to combine with say Williams... They still need time to gell, fit in. Getting that magic season, of our best players kept together and not sold, youngsters with seasons under their belt, and experienced players not passed it, has to be the goal. The potential is there...it's just the system that stops us progressing quicker imo. Fingers crossed that potential comes to fruition. Meantime...it's enjoyable watching City play, and the club throughout flourish.
  13. Poor Max...looks like something Matt Lucas would wear in Little Britain ??
  14. She sounds like a Keeper! Got her head screwed on??
  15. And then you look at the neckline on this photo (zoom in, enlarge) and it looks awful. Ribbed elasticated neck and arms?
  16. Who knows... however, although he officially started only a few weeks back, I'm sure he would have been engaged with the club way before then. So he may have been aware of the problem and offered his opinion on a solution.
  17. O'Neill's have supplied kits to Wycombe since 2016. I wonder if the Phil Alexander connection with Wycombe had something to do with going with O'Neill's, instead of another company.
  18. You can see the black writing on both the home and away kit on the link. I wonder if we will go yellow and green away kit?
  19. I guess that if there were any grey areas, Gould wouldn't have name checked him. ?
  20. Why would someone need to be legally accountable to give a recommendation and advice to the owners, or speak to the employee with the owners permission? It happens all the time in business, where you ask for advice from people you trust or have built up a rapport with, who don't work for you in any capacity. It's up to the owner to make the final decision on whether he agrees with the advice or not. Not being funny...I just can't see the problem. ?
  21. Yes...the Sunderland fans agree in the replies.
  22. No one uses a map. ?? It's a notebook in your back pocket. And GPS is only allowed to give distance in tournament. Nothing else. No slope, gradient, elevation, wind direction etc etc. That's why the caddie still walks the course and makes a course planner, and the majority of Pros still use conventional methods. GPS have their benefits, but it takes away a lot of being able to read a hole properly.
  23. Funnily the ability of reading maps came in handy when creating course planners when caddying....and understanding them when playing. Height, elevation, NSEW, wind direction, gradient lines etc etc. ?? Ladies tees have always been the red tees. And Senior men played from tees behind them. Imagine being a decent female player and having to play from in front of an OAP male ?? Thankfully Clubs are finally waking up and changing. It still doesn't detract from the fact woman hit the ball generally shorter. If they want true equality...play of the White Tees. They didn't make football, cricket or Rugby pitches shorter for woman. Same can be said of Tennis...oh hang on...they play two sets less, why? Are they physically not capable to play like the men?
